Having a Happy Saturday Night with My Beloved Family

After a busy day, the one thing I look forward to the most is getting together and creating quality time with my family. I don't think I have to go far to do expensive things, just having a meal together, having a warm chat, and also seeing the kids laughing out loud is very effective to recharge myself.

After maghrib time, this saturday night we started by eating meatballs at the Bakso Merdeka stall which is currently a hit in Aceh Tamiang. The place is not spacious, but there are distinctive flavors offered there. My wife, my mother and I ordered the Egg Chicken Noodle, while the kids preferred the Indomie Meatballs. It didn't take long for our order to arrive at the table, and we continued to enjoy a very intimate moment interspersed with small stories decorated with smiles and laughter.

After eating, we agreed to head to the night fair, which is located about 2 kilometers away. The children's excitement was unstoppable, on the way they were very excited, and when we arrived at the night fair, the colorful lights, the sound of music from the rides, and the aroma of typical night fair food seemed to welcome us. And this is where the kids' favorite part begins.
Kahfi, my second child, looked around enthusiastically, searching for and choosing a game of catch. With his tiny hands he tried to catch the small catfish that swam nimbly. Often he fails, and at the same time he gets annoyed, so his grandmother comes as a hero by accompanying him until he finally manages to catch one fish, and his eyes light up.
On the other hand, Khalif, my first child, was more interested in riding a mini Jeep, he chose an army green car and drove it carefully on a track with traffic crowded with toy vehicles driven by other children. On the winding road, he occasionally turned his head towards us, to make sure we were watching the action, there was a sense of pride on his face every time he passed an obstacle.
The youngest, our third child Keenan found his happiness at the coloring booth. He sat quietly in the company of his mother, focused on coloring a picture of a child reciting the Quran, perhaps he felt the picture was similar to him. With a small brush and colorful watercolors he acted like a painter, even though his strokes were often out of line, but with confidence he showed his painting which was the best work that night.
We ended the night with a leisurely walk to the exit gate amongst the crowds, obviously nothing spectacular that we did, but in that simplicity we found complete happiness. The most important thing for me and my family is about togetherness, because no matter where you are, togetherness will create beautiful memories, even if it's just from a bowl of meatballs and the lights of the night fair.
