Holy place #18 - "South Town Jame Mosque"

Today I will review a mosque in our country. The name of the mosque is South Town Jame Mosque. The mosque has been built in the South Town residential area. It has been built inside the South Town residential area on the Dhaka to Mawa Highway road in a place called Keraniganj near the capital Dhaka. Public entry is prohibited in the South Town residential area, so I reviewed it by praying in the mosque after obtaining permission at the main gate.

The architectural style and diverse construction of the mosque captivate the visitors. The domes on the roof of the mosque are designed. The walls around the mosque are designed in different ways. There are three doors to enter the mosque on the north, south and east sides. The main gate to enter the mosque is on the east side. I walk around the mosque and take pictures. The design around the mosque amazes me.

There is a place for performing ablution after entering the mosque through the eastern door. There are facilities for performing ablution on both sides of the main door of the mosque. There is a facility for wiping the water from the mouth after performing ablution. The entrance doors to the mosque are made of strong, well-designed wood. Flowers and trees have been planted around the mosque to enhance its beauty. Work to enhance the beauty around the mosque is still ongoing.

The place of ablution for entering the mosque

A microphone has been installed on the dome of the mosque. The sound of the call to prayer from the mosque reaches the entire residential area. A beautiful library has been built next to the mosque. The library is used to teach the Quran to children in the morning. In addition, various types of Islamic books and hadiths are kept in the library. The meetings for the development of the mosque are held in the library.

The beauty of the mosque has been enhanced by using tiles inside. The rows of worshippers have been designed to stand straight and pray. The prayer schedule and clock are installed next to the Imam's prayer place in the mosque. In addition, speakers are installed to reach the entire mosque to hear the Imam's words. There are numerous small windows around the mosque, which illuminate the inside of the mosque. The beauty has been enhanced by installing various types of lighting in the middle of the mosque. Strong pillars have been provided inside the mosque.

Library next to the mosque

There is a security post next to the mosque. There are several banners next to the mosque that contain the rules and regulations around the mosque. Inside the mosque, a banner contains various hadiths that inspire people to do good deeds for society. There are many fans installed inside the mosque. There is an alternative power system in case the power supply is cut off.

Many visitors come to see the mosque every day. You have to register your identity at the main gate of the South Town residential area and enter. The mosque is located in Sector 01.
