You won't be able to use the same API servers but I think the API is the same.
You can log in with your Steem username and keys on hive as it is a steem fork =)
It also includes all your postings from before the hardfork.
Interesting. I was going to wrap the contest either way. I might put it on GitHub if anyone wants to take it over.
