Yes, there’s definitely some truth to that.
But what’s even sadder is letting such posts disappear into oblivion, just to keep chasing “something” in order to quickly offer “something.”
The latter often results (as it did this week) in “Picks of the Week” that barely surpass the quality of an unedited second grader’s essay.

I choose to see it positively:
There are still users who don’t take part in the unappetizing race for the attention of big stakeholders.
Users who write when they feel like it or when they actually have something to say.
And then? Well, that usually leads to something good... 😎
