RE: Team Europe – Still Digging, Still Hoping (Report #1)
Your chance of getting more rewards is if you vote before a whale votes or if you vote early. Have you ever seen 'rme's post? So, if you vote within 3-5 minutes, and that particular post gets a huge amount of votes ($), your chance of winning is very high.
I often see rme's post. It's always trending. But I think my SP is still too low to actually gain much reward from upvoting.

Probably.
Do you really think that this is a good advise for a newcomer? A talented newcomer?
Wanna listen to my advise, @emmabritt?
DON'T follow the money!

It's a great reminder, Christiane.
Following the money can be stifling for me; otherwise, I would likely be earning much more by now. I could never do something like Fiverr, where writing is based on the monetary reward. I could probably write, but it would be robotic and lifeless.

Unfortunately, only the received votes counted for the trending posts on steemit.com. I am currently in the process of changing the algorithm. You can see the current status on my new page: https://steemit.steemnet.org/trending.
Here are a few more explanations

That's another site? They asked for login. I guess it's the basic thing where a post with most interactions gets to the top, no matter the content

Yes and no. It is (almost) the same code as Steemit. The page accesses my database. There I have changed the calculation of the trending score a little (and I'm still working on it).
You only need to log in if you want to vote or write.
Everything else will be the same? Just the trending part is calculated differently?
Oh, I thought I was talking about the mechanism.
