Howling || a five minute prompt

The villagers were terrified when they heard a howl in the night.
I wondered why.
I did not know where the howling came from and neither did they.
We were all clueless.
I also did not know the animal howling till they told me it was a wolf.
That's the explanation for their fright.
Upon hearing from them.
I was always afraid.
We hid in a place we thought to be safe.
Eventually, we made it out through the night.
