RE: “Let's talk about a favorite food”
In my country, junk food has become very popular, as the economy has encouraged families to create sources of income, unchecked by health points. There are many hamburgers on the street that are not from Mc Donald, and still make many people sick to death. There are also many street hot dogs, french fries very tasty but horrible how is the preparation process.
My son and I go to the street to eat Arabic food, Japanese food or Chinese food. Also the pizzas are very much appreciated.
That doesn't sound good. Street food is very rare with us. You only might find it at a market.
We had a tv programme calked: the taste police.
They visited snackbars and restaurants (kitchen, fridges...) there were extremely dirty circumstances but I couldn't help thinking that the average person is far from clean, has bad hygiene and food poison is very rare. Who knows those filthy kitchens with spoiled food are good for something.
A big joke I find they always said to throw ingredients away because of the date... And now they sell old stuff without any problem and it's called 'no waste' and good for the environment. 🤣
That is a risk we run when we visit fast food places on the street. Even in restaurants with sanitary permits and everything in order, they can be immersed in very poor sanitary conditions. It is sad, but no one can be trusted anymore.
I prefer to shop where I see what they are cooking for me.
I believe it's a risk you take everywhere. It depends on hygiene of those who work with food but also the kitchen, how clean or how fast bacteria and mold can multiply.
