Un gallo soleándose/A rooster sunning himself

in CCC8 days ago

I have several wooden sculptures in my house. But it's always good to buy a new one. In this edition of the shadow photography contest, organized by @olivia08, I'll show you a wooden rooster I bought at the Carúpano municipal market. It cost me 50 Bs. (about 2 Steem), which is quite affordable for me, considering the prices in Venezuela.

These carvings are made by a man from Mauraco, a town located in the Arismendi Municipality. He sells wooden roosters and bird mobiles. The rooster caught my eye, perhaps because of its bright colors. So today I decided to play a little with it and its shadow.

To take the photos, I went outside and, taking advantage of the sunlight, took this first photo, in which the rooster is like "Narcissus," trying to see his beautiful image in a puddle of water, which is very dirty, by the way:

Then, the rooster came out of the puddle and decided Go out and get some sun. It looks like a rooster kissing another:

Finally, the rooster wanted to lie down a bit, because he was a little tired:

And this is the story of a rooster who believed himself to be as beautiful as "Narcissus" and that's why he always sought to see the image of his shadow, hehe.

I'd like to invite @marcybetancourt, @rosselena, and @casv to join this contest organized by @olivia08 Information here

I love rooster and thank you for participating my contest.

Thank you for this wonderful contest.

Funny story... always good to read you even though we hunt shadows. LOL. I have a bit of trouble to see the first shadow. I guess that's where the hunt started.

Wonderful creativity, used rooster for shadow. The first one is very creative, getting this type of idea is great. You used water to create reflection of the rooster through sunlight, now this how ideas are generated and created.

  • Moreover, on floor the rooster is balanced in multiple ways.

Great content and thinking my friend

Mil gracias por tu comentario. Un abrazo.
