RE: Contest - week 9 - “Let's talk about an addiction” / Concurso- semana 9 - «Hablemos sobre una adicción»
I assume the only way to raise taxes is on stuff many cannot resist (cars, drugs) and what they need to survive (shekter, food, clithes, water, electricity and the new kid: internet).
The rest, those health tips? It's all fake. They rather see you die. It's said because tmit is exoected.
What school teaches us fake. To start with how to sit, lift, the max of weight of a schoolbag, when to pee, eat, sleep.

Even if they raise tax on hard drug, people will still find a way to get it. The worst part, tr company will make it smaller quantities. It a business strategy, they know that once people get in touch in it, they will do everything to get it.
Yes @wakeupkitty, you are right. All the health propaganda that may come out as a result of the misuse of a substance or exposure to things is just a smokescreen. This is how we believe that large companies are truly committed to human health. They only commit to your money.
But at least we're not robot, we have conscience. We can think, and know what is good for us. So it not the company alone, the people who consume it also have questions to answer. Remember they worked on demand, if many requests for it, marker will move and there will be a lot of sales.
That's where we go; Human beings have free will and generally tend to choose the bad, that is, they make bad decisions. Vices are a clear example of this. Many people get second chances but others don't.
We see how many politicians, artists, soldiers, rulers and others fall into addictions.
The environment that surrounds them, the system that drives them, a weak character, mental trauma, psychosis, etc... added to this a marketing that encourages the use of substances that produce addiction. Everything is on the table for us to go there. It is our decisions, bad decisions that allow us to fall to the bottom.
