My Dairy Game: Cultural Day Preparation (11/3/2025)
Hello great people from great community. I'm proud to be here. It's me @okokon, your colleague. I hope you had a nice time steeming. Stay with me, let me tell you how my Tuesday went . It was a fun-filled day. Enjoy reading.
Unlike weekends, I normally wake up early on work days, about 5am so I could catch up with school activities. Immediately I said my prayers, I woke up, took bath, took a light breakfast (tea and bread) and then left for work.
When I arrived at school by 7.05am, I sat down to mark the third test I gave my students on Monday. Though the Literature test was a little bit difficult, I was happy that 85 percent of them had passed. I was really happy with the performance.

After a break time by 12 noon, it was time for cultural day rehearsal. My school observes a cultural day every year. It's a day sets aside every year to celebrate the rich culture of my country. So my school is not left out. On this day, students wear their traditional attires, speak their native languages, and allowed to bring their local food to eat in school.
Therefore, in order to celebrate that day well, activities are in top gear. Immediately after break, each group that represents a particular ethnic group in Nigeria: Igbos, Hausa-Fulani, Yoruba, Ibibio will involve in one activity or the other. I was to lead the group that represents the Hausas. I have been having a serious stresse with the children, trying to prepare them to dance the Hausa dance, speak their language, and prepare their food.

After 40 minutes, I had to switched over to debate. I had to give them points to argue against another group with the topic: Children Who Know Vernacular Tend to do Better in School than Their Peers. To oppose this position, I had browsed materials online to guide the speakers because I want my group to win the debate.

The next was a general song presentation. The song would be competitive among the four groups. It is a gospel song. The task here was how to teach these students to sing according to musical parts. What helped me is the little knowledge of music I learnt in my diploma program in the college. I had to coordinate them to sing with parts.

I returned home by 4pm to changed up for my friend's birthday. My friend, Favour whom I worked with in my former school, celebrated his birthday. He invited all of us who were with him in the school. The entertainment was very thick. One of us snapped us.

I went back home by 7pm because we had to celebrate with him happily. I was happy that I met my old friends there. After my supper, I relaxed with steemit. I went to bed by 9pm and them slept.
That was how my Tuesday was. It was great.
