Acne | Acne Awareness Challenge
Hi Steemian, today I have come to the healthy Steem community to participate in a new challenge by @ahsansharif sir. In today's competition, I have to discuss acne. So let's get started.
What is acne, and what causes it?
Acne is a pesky skin affliction that arises from an excess of oil, dead skin cells, and resident bacteria congregating within our pores. This skin scourge tends to crop up prominently on the face, back, shoulders, and chest where sebaceous glands run riot, manifesting as annoying whiteheads, deep cysts, and painful pustules.
An overabundance of sebum triggering this skin sorrow is a common cause. When our pores become clogged with a surfeit of this oily secretion mingled with desquamated epidermal debris, it creates ideal conditions for inflammation-inciting skin microbes like Propionibacterium acnes to multiply merrily.
At the same time, an accumulation of discarded corneocytes becoming trapped below the skin's surface provides another convenient breeding ground for aggravating bacteria. This untoward convergence of adversaries within follicular confines invariably spells eruptive mayhem.
Moreover, hormonal fluctuations, notably during adolescence, the post-partum period, or the monthly ebb and flow of the female cycle often contribute to upset skin by goading sebaceous glands into a frenzy of lipid liberation.
Even stress is a capable accomplice, with its ability to stimulate the adrenal cortex into releasing excess corticosteroids further riling follicular factories into overdrive.
What's more, a diet rife with sugars and fats provides welcomed fuel for inflaming skin interlopers while prolonging the use of occlusive cosmetics or problematic skincare goods provides a smothering haven propitious to pathogenic pandemonium.
What are the different types of acne?
When plugged piliferous passages are overwhelmed by this toxic trash, tiny non-inflammatory whiteheads emerge. Lackadaisical cleaning permits their contents to darken, manifesting as sooty blackheads.
Fiery papules meanwhile signal mounting cells of the immune system rushing to the scene. Most ominously, deep underground nodules foretell a formidable foe forming formidably below. Altogether, addressing acne demands recognizing and reducing its numerous provocateurs.
Cysts Pus-filled bumps beneath the skin are known as cysts and represent the most severe form of acne. They are large, painful sores that persist for extended periods and sometimes cause scarring. Deep and prolonged, cysts require professional treatment.
How can acne be prevented? (Share Home Remedy)
At-home remedies can help prevent regular breakouts when used judiciously, but severe or chronic acne necessitates a dermatologist's guidance. Common do-it-yourself options include regularly cleansing the face and applying natural antibacterials. Washing skin twice daily using a gentle cleanser prevents excess oils while protecting the skin barrier. Raw honey's emollient properties soothe inflammation and hydrate without clogging pores. Moreover, its antibacterial nature defends against breakouts. Tomatoes and turmeric also fight bodily oils and reduce redness when applied as a mask. Gram flour, likewise, absorbs sebum and moisturizes complexions when blended with the yellow spice. Seeking medical advice is paramount for complex or enduring blemishes, but basic self-care can alleviate mild acne in the interim.

When the skin produces excess oil, dead skin cells, and the begins to clog the pores we consider that situation to be acne. When the hormones in our body begins to malfunction especially during the puberty stage at well affect the sebaceous glands and lead to acne, most parents don't know that their children may have acne if thier had it in their youthful age, it is a common skin condition which can be treated by using honey to apply gently on the face.
