Hello friends how are you all doing today I hope all is well and you all are having a nice and wonderful day, today I will be taking part in a contest organize by @abdullahw2 which is titled "My Relationship With Sleep"

How many hours of sleep do you usually get each night, and do you think it’s enough?

Studies show that for an adult, the normal sleep duration r a healthy living is 7–9 hours daily, out of the 24 hours in a day. However, I'll be straight with you: because of hustling, school, and blogging, all thanks to our MTN nightlife (night plan)—instead of sleeping, I browse at night because night bundles are cheaper and more affordable.

So each night, from 9:00 p.m. (after the gym and chores) to 10:00 p.m., I write and compose my articles. Then, from 11:00 p.m., I activate my night bundle to publish my article and download movies.

Most times, I finish everything a few minutes after 1:00 a.m. before sleeping. I wake up at 6:00 a.m. for school, so I sleep for 5 hours or less.

Do you follow any sleep routine (like reading, meditation, avoiding screens)?.

On our side, there is always light at night, especially from midnight, so I have developed the habit of doing most of my important things at night. For example, if I am preparing for exams, I like reading at night when everywhere is quiet. Also, if I have school assignments after I finish browsing and publishing my article, I will start doing my assignments. Sometimes, at the end of it all, I might only get three hours of sleep before morning.

What disturbs your sleep the most? (noise, stress, mobile, late-night eating, etc.)

The one thing I would say that disturbs my sleep the most is my mobile phone, because with it is where I do my hustling and I can't just lay back and look at my phone laying there when I know that I can use it to generate some capital that would help me to take care of my financial needs.

Take for example two days back I needed money to my GST textbook, and I'm not a kind of person that has someone to turn to in times of trouble, I got my money from my phone and bought the text book all thanks to my night hustle

Tell us about the negative impacts of not taking enough sleep and positive impacts of taking enough sleep on our health.

Throughout last year when I was working as a waiter in a hotel it was a night business that I would have to go to work by 4:00pm and come back home in the morning, I hardly had time to sleep, the money was good and I made a fortune but I felt the negative impact within me that was why I had to quit the job before I loose myself in the process.

Some of the negative impact I felt as a result of lack of sleep where;

  • I felt stressed out, like all the time
  • I normally experience some minor dizziness
  • Puffy eyes and sometimes red eyes
  • I tend to forget some things a lot

Positive impact of taking enough sleep

  • It helps improve the functioning of our immune system
  • Sleep helps in repairing and relaxing our blood vessels for proper functioning
  • It helps in weight management
  • It helps in improving our overall mood and reduces stress

This will be the end of my entry and I will like to invite @selina1, @eluustanley & @ahsansharif
