Assalamu Alaikum, How are you all? I hope you are well. By the grace of Allah, I am also well today. I am sharing with you a tutorial post on how to fix the buttons of a digital weight scale used in a store.

Step -01

A store owner in my area asked me to look at this weight scale and said that none of his keyboard buttons were working. Then I opened it with a screwdriver inside the store and checked the button and saw that some parts of the circuit were rusty and a wire was burnt. Then I told the store owner that I need to do some soldering and remove the line. I am taking it home and repairing it for you. I will come back to the store again.

Step -02

Then you can see that there is a tear here. I used my phone's macro camera to photograph it from very close so that you can understand it well. So let's repair it well now.

Step -03

image.png

First, I took a very strong and sturdy blue-coloured jumper wire. I will solder the line from the circuit to another place through this wire.

Step -04

Then I took a black heat sink tube; it fits nicely in the joint when heated by fire and acts as insulation.

Step -05

image.png

Then you can see that I soldered the burnt wire nicely to my jumper wire, attached the heat sink tube and attached it nicely with fire heat.

Step -06

Then all the wires were damaged from where they were connected in a series and could not be soldered in that place. Then I carefully observed the circuit and saw where this line went; I rubbed the line nicely and soldered it.

Step -07

Then I used glue here because I had previously soldered it in another place, and it also came off because the circuit is very weak, so I put glue here so that it does not come off again.

Step -08

Then when my soldering work was complete, I went back to the shop and took the weight scale in my hand. Then you can see the circuit inside. The entire system works through this small circuit. Here you can see ten pins. I have connected the keyboard's male-to-female jack to these pins.

Step -09

After all the work was completed, I turned on the weight scale, and its display turned on. Here you can see the number. On one side, the weight number is shown. On the other side, the number shows how much you will set the price. I set the price at 50 taka. Then below, the amount of money according to the weight will be shown. By completing this work, now this digital weight scale is reusable again.

Okay, what you're saying is not too difficult. It will improve my work and give me peace of mind.

If I collect these little things, I think my work will be done.

I have a lot of parts left over from when I used to run a shop in the area.

But it is not possible for me to show this in all posts, real experience, because sometimes very large parts will be needed. I do not have the money to buy such large parts, but I will show the diagrams.
