Location and history of the tourist centre: The Boro station is in the Chandpur district. It is called the mouth of three rivers, the big station. It is located 150 kilometres away from the capital, Dhaka. Several big launches leave for the Chandpur district from Dhaka every morning and evening. If you go on the 7.00 am launch, you can visit the big station all day and return to Dhaka's capital in the afternoon. By launch, it takes three or four hours to reach the tourist centre from the capital, Dhaka.

Besides, the tourist centre of Chandpur can be reached in four hours by bus from the capital, Dhaka. Chandpur city is located at the mouth of the Meghna River. Chandpur is famous for the Hilsa fish, the most popular fish in our country. Hilsa fish is most commonly found in the Meghna River. When visiting the Chandpur district, tourists first choose to eat Hilsa fish. Hilsa fish food is available in every hotel in the tourist centres of the Chandpur district.

The big station tourist centre is located at the mouth of the Meghna, Padma and Dakatia rivers. Since the tourist centre is located on the banks of the river, numerous tourists visit every day. The first choice of food for tourists is Hilsa fish. There are several luxurious hotels and restaurants in Chandpur for tourists. Tourists buy fresh Hilsa fish caught from the Meghna and Padma rivers and cook and eat them. Apart from this, there is an opportunity to buy fish of their choice in front of the hotels.

Chandpur district is famous for the Hilsa fish, so the tourist centre has built a monument to the Hilsa fish. I go to the Big Station tourist centre with my family. The water current here is powerful since it is the confluence of three rivers. There is a launch terminal next to the tourist centre. Tourist launches reach the terminal and deliver tourists. The tourist centre allows tourists to travel the river by small and large boats on the banks of the river. There is no entry fee to enter the tourist centre. However, you have to pay money per hour to travel by boat.

The tourist centre has the local traditional food of our country, except for Hilsa fish. I drink a special type of tea with my family. After seeing this tea on social media, my son and daughter wanted to eat here. A big stone dam has been built on the riverbank. There are big trees around the riverbank which attract tourists. There is a market nearby for tourists to shop.

Shopping places in tourist centers

There are train, bus, and launch stations following the tourist centre. Tourist police are responsible for the security of the tourist centre. Apart from this, tourists can rent boats from here and travel to the surrounding river banks. A large number of tourists from our country's schools and colleges come here every day. There is a Hilsa fish market next to the tourist centre. There is a system for tourists to buy Hilsa fish from the Hilsa market and take it away.

When eating local food with Hilsa fish

The tourist center is small as it is located at the mouth of the river. A memorial has been set up here in memory of some freedom fighters who were killed during the Liberation War in 1971. Tourists also have the opportunity to travel by horse. They can sit on big rocks on the riverbank and see the beauty of the river. I have visited the Big Station Tourist Centre several times with my family. Through launch tours, many tourists visit the Big Station Tourist Centre in Chandpur city.
