Police Training Centre, Mirzapur
Hello Ladies & Gentlemen. Welcome to steem-atlas. This community moderator @solaymann organized this SFB Atlas #7 ; Pin Your Recent Place Atlas Contest, so I took entries.
Mahera Police Training Centre (PTC) is one of the most important police training centres in Bangladesh, located in Mirzapur Upazila of Tangail District. Mahera Police Training Centre (PTC) was established in 1990. However, its name has now been changed to Bangladesh Police Peace Operations And Stabilization Training Unit (BPPOSTU). The main objective of its establishment was to establish a modern and well-equipped training centre for the purpose of improving the skills and professional standards of the police force. Initially, it started its activities on a small scale, but over time it has become a complete, well-equipped and high-quality training institution.
PARKING AREA 🏍️ |
---|
The parking section of Mahera Police Training Centre is very well planned and organized. There is a designated parking area for the safe and orderly storage of all external vehicles. Located near the main entrance, this parking section has separate sections.
The parking area is paved and spacious enough to accommodate many vehicles at once. There are separate spaces for all types of vehicles including motorcycles, private cars, microbuses, pickups and buses. Each parking spot is arranged following marked lines and monitored by CCTV cameras to ensure maximum security. I was parking a bike so I had to collect a token worth BDT 20 Taka for each bike.
THESE ARE THE RULES FOR PARKING TOKENS.
WHAT IS DONE AT THE POLICE TRAINING CENTER? |
---|
Surrounded by natural beauty on one side and full of modern facilities on the other, this training center plays an important role in enhancing the skills and discipline of the members of the country's law enforcement agencies. One of the most important parts of this training center is its academic building, which has been built in a modern and well-organized manner.
The academic building is mainly a center for the development of professional skills, knowledge and mindset of the trainees. The building has classrooms, seminar halls, multimedia rooms, libraries and computer labs. Theoretical and practical training is provided here for trainee constables, Sub-Inspectors and other police members. Various legal knowledge of the police department, investigation methods, crime analysis, human rights, community policing and use of information technology are taught here.
WHAT IS MAINLY DONE ON THE PARADE GROUND? |
---|
One of the main attractions of the Mahera Police Training Centre is its parade ground. It is the heart of the training centre where daily parades, parades, physical exercises, march pasts and other systematic exercises are conducted. Parades are very important for instilling in the trainees the habit of discipline, organised movement and walking together according to command. A large logo has been made next to it which says Parade Ground.
Parade practice is held here every morning and afternoon. Various steps such as 'Attention', 'Stand at Ease', 'Left Turn', 'Right Turn', 'Forward March' etc. are taught. Through parade, punctuality, concentration and mental fortitude are developed in a policeman. See some pictures of the huge field of the parade ground.
Every year, there is a police race here, where each line is divided. There are races of several hundred meters. Apart from this, the parade ground also hosts rehearsals and main events for special occasions like Police Week, National Day, Passing Out Parade or other state functions. During these occasions, high-ranking officials are present as guests and trainees are seen proudly parading.
The parade ground is very spacious, level and paved. There are designated viewing galleries, flag poles, microphone systems and shaded seating areas around it so that high-ranking officials and guests can sit and enjoy the parade.

SOME SPECIAL SCULPTURES AND VEHICLES WORTH LEARNING ABOUT 🚔 |
---|
A magnificent policeman's sculpture has been installed next to the academic building, where an armed policeman is seen standing confidently. This sculpture is not just a work of art but is a living symbol of the responsibility, bravery and sacrifice of policemen. This sculpture, made of bronze or fiber, is usually decorated with clothes. Every year, policemen are honored here.
The sculpture is inscribed with a tribute to the police officers who have sacrificed their lives for the country and their commitment to the country. Many trainees stop by every day to see the sculpture and pay their respects.
Now you will see the picture next to the academic building. Where the beautiful environment has been planted with green grass and palm trees to make the scene more attractive. Right next to this academic building, a modern police vehicle parking area has been built which deserves praise.
This parking section is very well planned and houses various types of modern vehicles used by the police force. There are patrol cars, special operations vehicles, pickups, microbuses used for training and other administrative purposes. Each vehicle is arranged in a specific place in a line so that it can be quickly taken out and used when needed.
The parking area has security cameras, assigned security personnel and a judicious access control system that ensures that only authorized police officers can enter. We were just about to get closer to the vehicles when a police officer stopped us from entering, which we complied with. In addition, regular maintenance and cleanliness of each vehicle is ensured so that it is mission-ready at any time.
ENJOYING VIEW OF THE MAIN BUILDING |
---|
An academic tour at the Mahera Police Training Center is a unique experience. The well-organized campus, disciplined environment, beautiful views surrounded by greenery and modern facilities introduce a dreamy training world. Wherever the eye goes, there is a touch of hard work and responsibility.
The solidity of the parade ground, the tranquility of the seating area and the structure of the modern vehicle parking all combine to make the academic tour educational and beautiful. This is not just a tour, but a living experience of keeping discipline, duty and patriotism in your heart. So I tell you, if you want to know something about the law enforcement forces and want to enjoy it, you should come here and enjoy the Police Training Center.

It should be Peace not Piece...
Are you planning to train as a police officer?
Thanks for your valuable quick feedback, 🙏 I have corrected the spelling. Thank you for pointing out the mistake.
I have wanted to become a police officer since childhood, but I could not see that it was a matter of luck to see police training. However, if I ever get the opportunity to be selected in the police officer category, then I will definitely have to train.
