Our Bangladesh is a country of green, green, grain, greenery, evergreen. Thousands of domestic and foreign birds are flying in the branches of trees, fields and blue sky across the green nature of Bengal. The swallow is our national bird.

The swallow is a small bird, which is very known for its beauty and pleasant voice. The swallow bird is considered as a unique beauty of the nature of Bengal. The characteristic feature of this swallow bird is its beautiful mixture of black and white colors and the ability to sing in sweet tunes. This bird can be seen in the fields, gardens or branches of trees in rural Bengal. As the national bird, the swallow is considered an important symbol of the culture of Bangladesh.

My country is Bangladesh, the national bird of our country is Doel. And an interesting fact about the national bird Doel. The swallow bird is famous for its sweet melodious songs and behavior. The call of male swallows is very sweet and harmonious. They can sing different types of songs. Another interesting thing is that male swallows can also mimic the calls of other birds.

Our national bird Doel is as beautiful as the eye-catching, so this swallow bird is very beneficial for the environment. Swallows help in controlling pests naturally by eating insects. Which is an important role for agriculture.

Also, the image of the Doyle bird has been featured on the Murdra 2 rupee note of our country. And that highlights its importance as a national symbol. It carries the message of harmony with the nature of the country.

Have you ever seen your country's national bird in real life? If so, where?

The swallow is our national bird, the feeling of seeing him in reality is really different. I've had the opportunity many times too. It is more common in rural environments. Watching this bird sing while sitting on a tree branch is a unique beauty of nature. Especially in the village garden, around the paddy field, and open nature, swallowing birds are more common.

I vividly remember when I used to go to the village on vacation, I used to wake up in the morning to the chirping of birds. In the noisy environment of the city, the call of birds seemed to signal the arrival of a new day. One morning I woke up and sat in the courtyard, surrounded by a calm, soothing atmosphere. Suddenly, I saw a small, beautiful bird on the branch of a guava tree in the courtyard. His back is black, and his belly and chest are bright white. White on both sides of the tail. I recognized this is our national bird, Doyle. Sitting on the branch of the tree in his mind, the swallow bird is calling in its sweet tune. The call seemed to make the silence of the morning more pleasant.

I stared at the swallow in fascination. His small movements, sharp black eyes, and the melody of that sweet song are all a wonderful sight. Then I felt as if some artist of nature had carefully painted the bird.

And that day I was watching the swallow for a long time. Sometimes the bird is flying from one branch to another, sometimes it comes down to the ground and eats small insects. It was great to see the swallow's smooth flight and the busyness of searching for food. I felt like this little bird was an invaluable treasure of our nature. After that, whenever I went to the village, I would see the swallow bird almost every day. Sometimes in the house, sometimes on the head of the bamboo, and sometimes on the branch of the tree beside the courtyard. Every time I saw him, my heart was filled with joy. This bird seemed to symbolize a deep bond with our soil, with our nature.

Why do you think this particular bird was chosen as the national bird of your country?

I think there are several important reasons behind choosing Doel as the national bird of Bangladesh. Below are some of the important points:

• Doyel birds can be seen almost everywhere in our Bangladesh. From cities to villages, from forests to human settlements. No part of the country can be found where the swallow bird is not seen. The ubiquitous familiarity of this swallow bird makes it easy to integrate with the masses.

• This swallow bird is very beautiful to look at, especially the arrangement of black and white feathers and long tail of the male swallow birds give it an attractive look.

• This swallow bird is very well known for its sweet and melodious songs. Especially in the morning, the song of the swallow bird fascinates the mind. These characteristics make swallows particularly attractive.

• These swallows are usually harmless birds and they do not harm humans. They survive mainly by eating insects.

• This swallow bird is deeply involved in the culture and folklore of our Bangladesh. This swallow bird is mentioned in many poems, songs and literature. Even the picture of this swallow bird has been used in our Bangladeshi currency (two taka notes). Another thing is that the name of an important place in our Dhaka city is "Doyel Chattar".

• When this swallow bird was selected as the national bird of our country. Another factor to consider then was whether any other country recognized this bird as their national bird.

I think for all these reasons, the decision to select the Doyle as the national bird of our Bangladesh is very logical and appropriate. This swallow bird is not only a beautiful bird, but it is also an important part of the nature, culture and heritage of our Bangladesh. That is why the swallow has been given the status of national bird.
