Our Sitakunda area is famous worldwide for its old ship breaking industry. Here, various shopkeepers buy old ship parts through tenders and sell them to retail customers. Since I grew up in this area, I have had the opportunity to use numerous items from old ships.

A friend of mine needed electrical wire for providing an electrical connection to his farm, which is readily available in our area. He had called me the previous night to let me know he would be coming. That morning, after breakfast, I went with my friend to CDA Cable Market, where old ship cables are available at very affordable prices.

Upon entering the cable market, we visited a couple of shops. All types of cables, from very thin to very thick, were available there. We needed 2.5 rm wire, so we started looking for good quality cables according to our requirements.

We needed about 400 yards of wire, but old ship cables are usually not that long, so we were forced to buy the local market cable. We bought about 18 kg of cable, priced at Bdt 1050/ 60 STEEM per kg.

The shopkeeper assured us that approximately 80-90 feet of 2.5 rm wire would be available per kg. After measuring the cable on a digital scale, my friend paid the bill.

It was almost 2 PM by the time we finished buying the cables. After payment, we left the cables at the shop for a while because we were going elsewhere for lunch and carrying the cables by hand would have been very difficult.

We walked a few blocks and entered a good restaurant. After freshening up, we ordered food for both of us. That day's lunch was a treat from my friend to me. We both had mutton biryani along with cold drinks.

After chatting for quite some time at the restaurant, I said goodbye to my friend and started for home. After returning home, I rested for a while. When I heard the call for Maghrib prayer, I went to the mosque and offered my evening prayers.

During the evening snack, while having tea, we ran out of biscuits, so my mother made Jhalmuri. It is made by mixing puffed rice with chopped onions, tomatoes, bombay mix chanachur, green chilies, and mustard oil. Since it was too spicy, I couldn't eat much of it.

Then I went out towards the market to get biscuits for the house from the bakery. The bakery had a wide variety of biscuits. Seeing so many variants of their biscuits, I get confused about which ones to buy.

Instead of always buying the same flavors, I prefer to take different flavors each time. I liked a Horlicks-type and a toast-type biscuit, so I decided to buy them. The two packets cost 90 Taka/5.1 STEEM

After leaving the bakery, I spent some more time outside. After having dinner with everyone at night, I prepared to go to sleep. As of today I'm leaving here. Wish you all good health, everyone
