Chattogram Boat Club is one of the most scenic spots in the city, where you can sit by the river and closely observe the movement of large port ships, as well as the view of take-off and landing of airplanes and fighter jets. Being adjacent to the river port, one can enjoy the beauty of the flowing river water and the various boats moving along it from close quarters.

Due to some unique features, this spot has become a unique and popular tourist attraction for visitors. It is located at Ghat-11, adjacent to the Bangladesh Air Force Academy on Airport Road. One of the largest rivers in our country, the Karnaphuli, flows beside the Boat Club. Here, you have the opportunity to enjoy a community center, a river-view restaurant, boat club membership and a park.

A ticket is required to enter, priced at Tk 100/ 0.82 USD per person. If you are a member of the Boat Club, you can visit anytime without a ticket using your membership card. Online ticket purchase facilities are not yet available. There is a counter at the entrance where you need to buy tickets.

If you look at the steem-atlas map, you can get some idea that the entire Boat Club area is quite large, as it includes features like a rest house, convention hall, cineplex, bar, swimming pool, cruise vessel, etc. However, these facilities are exclusively for club members. Tourists can visit daily from 09 AM to 5 PM.

There is a designated area for general tourists where they can enjoy the river, the Boat Club's garden, the field, the kids' zone, and the restaurant. The paved walkways inside are very clean, making it quite pleasant to walk around. Various trees along the narrow paths enhance the beauty of the environment.

Parking area

Most tourists come here with their families from far and wide. As its address is in the Air Force and Airport area, there isn't much opportunity to come here directly via public transportation. Most tourists come in their own or rented cars, so a huge parking area has been arranged.

What I enjoy most is watching the ships moving on the river from the shore. Several cruise ships are always there for the Boat Club members; I'm not sure if the general public can avail of these. Port ships travel along this river.

You can enjoy the beauty of the Karnaphuli River from the front. The day I visited, the sky was a bit cloudy, so the pictures might look a bit dark. I really enjoyed walking along the paths.

There is something for all family members here. If adults enjoy the Boat Club, there is a kids' zone for the little ones. The CBC Kids Zone area has many rides for children. A large board clearly states the age groups that can enjoy the rides.

For adults, there are only some swings that they can enjoy if they wish. Inside the kids' zone, there is a large boat, which can be considered a symbol of the Boat Club. Tourists were taking pictures with the boat to collect their memories.

The most unique thing I found was seeing the airplanes, the Air Force's fighter jets, and helicopters very closely because their landing was right next to the Boat Club. I have uploaded a video where an Air Force jet can be seen flying very low.

As the area is large, dustbins have been placed at various points so that tourists can dispose of their waste.

There are stainless steel seating arrangements, but the environment is so clean and the grass is so beautiful that you can sit on the field if you want.

Since the general public visits here, warning signboards have been placed in many places to prevent any unethical activities or immoral interactions in this type of family park.

If you have a large family or want to organize a family event at a beautiful spot, you can rent the Boat Club's hall rooms and make arrangements there. The hall rooms look quite beautiful, and I think this is a suitable place for organizing family events.

I visited there in the late afternoon. It was a rainy day, and a beautiful breeze was blowing. Sitting on the seats, I watched the large container ships moving in the river and enjoyed the landing view of the Air Force jets and airplanes flying very low.

This is a good place to spend quality time walking around. If you are thinking of sitting and enjoying a spacious place with your family and if you have children and want to give them the opportunity to enjoy some rides, then Chattogram Boat Club could be a good choice for you.

Saludos amigo.

Exitos !!
