Assalamualaikum, how are you, I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. I am also well by the grace of Allah, Alhamdulillah. I am bringing you a new post. I hope everyone likes it.

Gimme shak or water papra. Its scientific name is Mollugo pentaphylla. It is an annual herbaceous plant, which is usually found in various parts of tropical and subtropical Asia, Australia and Africa.
In Bengali, this plant is commonly known as Gimme shak, water papra, or field papra.

It is a small, slender-stemmed and multi-branched plant. It can grow lying on the ground or upright. The leaves are in clusters, usually with 3 to 5 leaves on each side. That is why its scientific name is pentaphylla. The leaves are narrow and smooth. The flowers are very small, white and bloom in clusters at the tips of the branches or near the base of the leaves. Flowering and fruiting usually occur from August to November. The fruit is small, capsule-shaped and contains numerous small seeds. This plant is very tolerant and usually grows along roadsides, wastelands, gardens and fields. It can easily adapt to a variety of soil types.

The traditional medicinal uses of ghee are very old. Some of its medicinal properties are believed to be common in various cultures, although their effectiveness is not fully proven scientifically. It is used to treat stomach aches, indigestion, and other digestive problems. In some traditional medicine, it is used to reduce fever. The leaves of the plant are crushed into a paste and applied to boils, wounds, and other skin diseases. It is believed to have anti-inflammatory properties, which help reduce pain and swelling. In addition, in some regions, it is eaten as a vegetable, especially when fried in oil or ghee. It has a slightly bitter taste.
