How is everyone doing? I hope, by the endless mercy of the Creator, that everyone is well, healthy, and safe. Alhamdulillah, by Allah’s mercy and your prayers, I am also doing very well.My entire day today has gone very well by the grace of Allah. I wasn't feeling good, so I thought I'd spend some time drawing to keep my mind occupied. Then I was sitting with my son, and he said he wanted to give me flowers. This made me think of how we learned to draw in school, the national flower, water lily (shapla), and I remembered that process after a long time. So, I happily drew today. I’m going to share with you all the illustration of our country's national flower, the water lily (shapla). So, let's get started!

🟠 First, I placed a circle in the drawing notebook. After placing the circle, I made a dot in the center of the circle with the help of a pencil. Then, I made a dot at a 90-degree angle right in the middle of the circle. After that, I marked five dots on each side, leaving a 10-degree gap from the circle.
🟠 In the second step, I have drawn the shape of the water lily petals with a pencil, connecting all the dots to the midpoint between the top and bottom using the help of the dots.
🟠 Once the shapes of the water lily leaves were completed, I had connected the petals in between the water lily with the other petals. In this way, the work on the upper part of my water lily flower, that is, the petal shape, was finished.
🟠 Then I drew a data under the water lily and placed a flower bud right next to the water lily. After that, I drew the leaves that are under the water lily, and then I used a pencil to draw the waves of the water.
🟠 Then I took four colored pencils, which are green, orange, sky blue, and blue, etc. After that, I colored the leaves of the water lily with the green color.And then I had colored a small portion of the petals beneath the water lily green.
🟠 After that, I colored the petals of the water lily and its data. Towards the very end, I colored the waves I had drawn to represent the water. This is how I completed my water lily drawing today.
Shapla is our Bangladesh's national flower. It grows everywhere - in rivers, canals, ponds, haors, and wetlands. Shapla is mostly seen during the monsoon season. I live in rural areas, and during this time, when water comes into the small haors and wetlands, many Shapla flowers bloom there. Seeing them brings a lot of peace and joy to my heart. I had started this post around 10:30, and I feel very tired compared to the effort it took to write it. As a result, my son took a selfie with his Shapla drawing today. 😅🥰 Anyway, friends, I will end here today. May you all be well, and please pray for us. Allah Hafiz!
