Assalamu Alaikum

How are you all? I hope that by the grace of Almighty Allah, you are all well. Alhamdulillah, I am also very well. Today I have come to participate in the ongoing SFB Atlas #14 ; Pin Your Recent Place. competition in the Steem For Bangladesh community. At the beginning of the competition, I would like to thank @solaymann brother for continuously giving us such a beautiful competition.

🏞️Introduction🏞️

Today, through this post, I am going to introduce Chandrima Udyan to you. It is located in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. To mention the location in more detail, this huge garden is located opposite the National Parliament Building of Bangladesh. This garden was started during the post-independence period when the construction of the National Parliament Building was going on and at that time it was named Chandrima Udyan. However, later in 1981, the tomb of the then President of Bangladesh, General Ziaur Rahman, was also given in this garden, due to which some people also call it Zia Udyan.

The garden has been open to the general public since the beginning, and there is no entry fee. The entire garden is covered with various types of plants. After entering the garden, a large signboard on the side of the walking road reads "Zia Udyan".

A beautiful red brick path has been made for walking throughout the garden, and at the beginning of the garden, along the main road and the border of the garden, there are centuries-old blackthorn trees standing in a row. Each blackthorn tree has grown its branches over the water of the lake, leaning over the seating area along the lake, which not only provides shade for the seating areas, but also makes the place look very beautiful.

There is a narrow but very long pond on the edge of Zia Udyan, on the other side of which is a beautiful red brick ghat, and after crossing the main road, the National Parliament Building of Bangladesh. Since the ghat of the pond is also open to everyone, people come and go here all day long and children swim there. There are various types of street food shops on the banks of the pond where people can enjoy the beauty of the Parliament Building and Chandrima Udyan as well as taste street food.

There are still many empty spaces in the garden where the presence of plants is a little less and there is a lot of sunshine. In order to turn those places into sanctuaries like other places in the garden in the future, various types of small trees are being planted and fenced off.

There is a high structure in the middle of the garden. Where the roads coming from all around the garden come together. This place has been filled with soil and raised high, and a beautiful water fountain has been created inside. Since there is a lot of space around the place, it seemed to be a great sight to see because of the clouds flying in the blue sky above.

Behind this central structure is a mosque. The mosque was made of red bricks, so it looked quite impressive. The lower floor of the two-story mosque is an administrative area, so the general public is not allowed to enter it. From the upper floor, the central structure of the garden and the view of the Parliament building in the distance can also be seen, which is really a beautiful view.

The mosque part of the garden is the last part towards the back. Wire fences were used to demarcate the boundary and separate it from the outside along the road that exists in this part, but now they are being removed and brick walls are being built.

This part of the garden was a little more covered with trees. Because the road was blocked by the branches of the trees, a tree branch may have been broken or the branch may have broken naturally and fallen on a corner of the road.

Then I turned back to the gate. There were quite tall and tall trees in this part of the garden. Again, these trees were quite strange to look at. Because several thick stems came out from the bottom of them which went straight up to the sky. These trees planted on both sides of the road looked really beautiful.

The tallest tree among these trees was located a little further away on the side of a walking road. There is also a place to sit under this tree and a little further away from the tree there is a man with an umbrella on his head, just looking at the tree in relation to the man here, you can understand how tall these trees really are.

A fitness club was also built here in this garden a few years ago. Although there are no activities going on here anymore, the place still presents a beautiful scene within this sanctuary. There is also a field for practicing football matches, around which a gallery has been arranged to sit and enjoy the game.

There are 3 ways to exit the park. Although there are gates on both sides, the middle entrance is a bridge. This bridge is built across the pond located between the garden and the Parliament building. This bridge made of solid glass also plays a very good role in enjoying the beauty of the garden. At night, the bridge made of illuminated glass on the water creates a wonderful scene.
