The Diary Game (05-05-2025) : Today I Have Benefited a lot by Getting the New Service of Sonali Bank.

Assalamu Alaikum everyone. Today was a bit of a stressful day for me. Since morning, I have been thinking about how I will complete the tasks. Because my body is quite sick now and I have not been able to walk properly due to spraining my leg for almost a month. But this morning I have a job at the bank that I have to attend to. I have to go back to the office after finishing the work in the bank. So I had thought in advance how to do any work of the day.

I left the house at 10 am because the bank opens around 10 am. I had to wait before going. Today I will go to the head office of Sonali Bank which is located at Motijheel. About thirty minutes drive from my house. I left the house and took a rickshaw to the Sonali Bank PLC branch. There, the first thing I had to do was to get a token online. This is the first time I have seen this system. Before this, there was no token system to avail services in this bank.

I received a token from the machine. I am given a token according to the type of service and I am told which counter to go to. I think I like this system a lot. Because I used to see that in order to get a service, you had to stand in line for a long time at government banks. But now by doing this token system and according to the token number I understand when will the serial arrive to me. So I can just sit and wait.

I collected my token and sat down in the service recipient seats. My token number was C081. But the counter where I was asked to go was running serial C022. Then that means I have to wait around a long time. There are many people like me waiting here. Again, the computer was calling them as serials according to their tokens through digitization. There was a monitor in front of the service customers. We, the customers, can see on the screen how many serial numbers are being called at which counter. It is a good process I think in terms of service delivery.

By seeing this, it is understood that Bangladesh Bank is improving the service quality. As a result, the problem of standing in line for hours to get service from customers has been solved to a great extent. Exactly half an hour later, I was called for my serial. I completed my important task to go to my designated counter.

Then after finishing the work at the bank I walked towards the metro station. Motijheel metro is very close to the bank. I left on foot, although it was very painful. Because I have been spraining my leg for almost a month but it is not getting better in any way. Anyway I slowly walked to the metro station. Now my destination is that I will go to Agargaon in Dhaka. I reached my office after about 20 minutes.

It was almost 12.30 pm by the time we reached the office. I was quite tired. So I took rest for a while and drank water. Then it was time for prayer and meal time. I finished my lunch. Then I did some office work for a while. In the afternoon, I ate some dry fruits that I had brought from home. Although there was supposed to be food in the morning. But due to lack of time I could not eat.

After coming home, I take a shower. Then I rested for a while. In the meantime, I saw that my pet cat came and sat next to me. The cat is very calm. I have not been able to take care of my cats since I got sick. But my sister takes care of them on my behalf. Then I lay down for a while and scrolled through different social media on my phone.

In the evening, I ate a pot of sweet curd brought by my father from the village. This sweet curd is a very famous dish in our village. Even though I do not eat curd much, I ate a bowl of curd after hearing the praise of sweet curd. Indeed this curd deserves praise. A very delicious sweet curd.

In the evening, I finished my necessary work and had dinner. After finishing dinner, I turned on the AC as soon as I came to my room. Because it has been very hot today. As soon as I turned on the AC, I saw my three adopted cats also come to my room. After resting for a while in bed, I saw that my mother had brought me a mug of milk. I drank the milk and prepared to sleep for the night. And that's how my busy day ended.
