Dear Steemian friends,
How is everyone? I hope everyone is well. I am well too.Today I will be preparing a report on the largest fish hatchery complex in our country. The name of the hatchery is the "Central Fisheries Hatchery Complex".It is located in Kotchandpur, Jhenaidah.I have shown the location of the fish hatchery complex below, along with the Steam Atlas pin code and Google Maps.
The entrance to the fish hatchery complex.
Location and history of the Central Fisheries Hatchery Complex:
The Central Fish Hatchery Complex is located in Kotchandpur, Jhenaidah. It is about one kilometer west of the Kotchandpur Baluhar bus stand.According to government information, the fish hatchery complex was established in 1984 on 103 acres of land. There are a total of about thirty ponds here. This fish hatchery complex supplies about 60 percent of the commercial shrimp to Jhenaidah and surrounding districts.
Mosque at the Fish Hatchery Complex.
Walking straight south along the road from the main gate of the complex, I came across a small mosque. The mosque has been built for the prayers of tourists visiting the fish hatchery complex and officials on duty at the complex.Numerous tourists worship their Lord in this mosque every day.Although the mosque looks dilapidated from the outside, the inside is beautifully decorated with tiles.
Fast food restaurant.
Numerous tourists visit the fish hatchery complex every day.Just as their prayers are needed, their food needs also need to be met.And that is why fast food shops have been set up on both sides of the road with the permission of the officials of the fish hatchery complex.Numerous fast foods including phuchka, chatti, jhalmuri are available here. The development of fast food outlets has brought many benefits to tourists.
Pea storage room used for water extraction.
Operating a fish hatchery requires a large amount of water supply every day.It is not possible to supply water to so many ponds with just peas. For this reason, large amounts of water are supplied daily by installing deep tube wells using high-power motors. The pumps used for water extraction have been relocated to a sturdy house for safe storage.
Guest house.
The Fisheries Hatchery Complex is a government institution.High-ranking officials occasionally come to supervise the organization to check how it is being run.A guest house has been prepared for all the officials coming for the audit to stay overnight and rest.
Quarters for the officials of the fish hatchery complex.
According to government information, a total of 27 positions have been appointed to operate and maintain the fish hatchery complex. There is a provision of government quarters for each family to live in for the appointed officers and employees.
Administrative building.
Various types of decisions are required to manage all the activities of a fish hatchery complex. All plans required to implement all activities are received from the administrative building.
Hatchery building.
After the fish fry are produced, fish are farmed in the ponds of the fish hatchery complex.Even fish fry are exported to some districts including Jessore, Magura, and Chuadanga. There is also a fish hatchery building to produce fish fry.All fish fry are produced from here.
Fisheries Training Center.
Through the District Youth Development Department, as many people as possible receive the necessary plans for fish farming and receive training. There is a training center within the fish hatchery complex to teach them all the proper methods and management of fish farming. From here, everyone can adopt the correct fish farming method.
Ponds prepared for fish farming.
There are ponds prepared for fish farming in a vast field of 103 acres. After the fish eggs are hatched in the hatchery building, the fry are released into these ponds and cultivated.Fish farming is now being carried out in about thirty active ponds within this vast field.
Selfie by the fish hatchery pond.
After visiting the wonderful and large fish hatchery, I took a selfie just before returning home. The selfie was taken from the shore of pond number 18 of the fish hatchery.
