A few days ago, I visited the Saidpur Small and Cottage Industries Fair 2025, held near the cantonment area in Saidpur. I first heard about the fair from a younger brother and honestly thought it would be a small one. But when I arrived, I was surprised to see how huge the fairground was, with so many stalls, rides, and activities spread across the area.

Honestly, the main entrance to the fair didn’t look very attractive to me, though it was quite large. Just beside it were several ticket counters. The entry fee was only 20 BDT, which I found pretty cheap. As soon as I stepped inside, I could see the crowd gathered near the entrance. The fair was buzzing with life. Today, I’ll just focus on sharing my experience of the rides at the fair, because it’s impossible to cover everything in one post.

Ferris Wheel – The Icon of Every Fair

Just a few steps inside the fair from the entrance, I spotted a Ferris wheel. It’s always been an amazing ride to me, but honestly, I haven’t tried it much myself. The Ferris wheel ride felt a bit expensive to me, as it cost 50 BDT to enjoy.

Plane Ride – A Favorite for the Kids

There were a few different rides near the Ferris wheel. Among them was a small plane ride for kids. It seemed to be one of their favorites, almost every little seat was filled with excited children, as you can see in the picture. Their hearts will be filled with joy once the ride starts.

Jumping Trampoline – A Unique Addition

I had never seen a jumping trampoline at a fair before, so it felt like a unique ride in this one. I saw only one kid bouncing happily on it, clearly enjoying his day at the fair. If I had the chance to try this during my childhood, I definitely would have. Times have changed though, fairs today offer different rides than the ones we had in the past.

Balloons Everywhere – Adding Color to the Fair

There were lots of balloons being sold along the streets of the fair, and kids absolutely loved them. The balloons came in so many colors and designs, adding to the festive vibe. In my opinion, no fair feels complete without colorful balloons, it’s almost a tradition to see balloon sellers at every fair.

Boxing Machine – A Fun Challenge for Visitors

I also spotted a boxing machine at the fair for the first time. I’ve never tried punching one before, so it felt interesting just to watch others giving it a go. Each punch on the boxing machine costs 20 BDT.

Inflatable Slide – A Colorful Attraction

There’s a huge inflatable slide with multiple lanes for kids. It’s so big that I think it catches everyone’s attention at the fair. In front of the slide, there are some decorations with water fountains and lights, which make the place look even more attractive. I didn’t go down to that area because with my knee injury, I might have slipped while walking there.

Boat Swing – Thrill on the wave

The boat swing ride also looked quite impressive to me. I couldn’t capture a good picture of it, but I noticed it’s a popular attraction. Mthere.isitors were already seated, waiting for the ride to start. It might look a bit risky, but that’s what makes it such an exciting ride.

Final Thoughts

I saw these rides at the fair, some were quite common, while others felt unique. What touched me the most was watching parents stand near the rides, smiling as they watched their kids enjoy themselves. It’s such a heartwarming scene that truly captures the spirit of a fair.
