🏵️THE DIARY GAME 🏵️

Because of academic pressure, I haven’t been able to go out for quite a while. Mainly, I haven’t had time to hang out lately due to the busyness of college.

Today, there were fewer classes at college. I left early in the morning and returned home around 12 noon after my classes ended. After coming home, I fell asleep with a tired body. Suddenly, a friend of mine called and said we would hang out this afternoon. Hearing that, I got up and got ready to go out. As he said, I arrived at Mirpur 6. There’s a road there called Love Road, where people gather and hang out in the evening. We sat there and started chatting too.

There were many fast-food stalls around, but I had no desire to eat fast food that evening. While we were chatting, I noticed a middle-aged man standing and selling peanuts. We bought peanuts worth 40 taka from him. The peanuts were quite large. While eating, I suddenly noticed one peanut with four kernels inside. Usually, peanuts have two kernels, so I was quite surprised to see this one with four.

Seeing the four kernels reminded me of some childhood memories. When I was little and we used to cultivate peanuts, we would sometimes find a peanut with three kernels while selecting seeds for planting. We used to be amazed and set those aside carefully to show everyone later. Today, this four-kernel peanut brought back those childhood stories to mind.

Then we walked over to the Prashika Mor area near Mirpur 6. We often come here to hang out. It was a very hot day, so to cool off, we bought bottles of Speed from a shop. We sat on a van, drinking Speed and chatting. It felt really good to have conversations in this place. Sitting under the open sky on top of the van, we enjoyed the fresh air in this open environment.

After sitting there for a while, we went to have tea. There’s a famous milk tea here that we never miss whenever we come. The tea here is made with cow’s milk. In most tea stalls in Dhaka city, tea is usually made with powdered milk. It’s rare to find tea made with real cow’s milk. That’s why it tastes so much better here.

Today, my friend Nayeem joined me for the first time. He had never been to this place before. So, I sat with him and we had tea together. As we sipped our tea, we continued chatting about various things. At one point in our conversation, we decided that we would start a business. Nowadays, the job market isn’t very promising. Millions of educated people are struggling to find jobs. If we could start a business, success might come more quickly. We had a long discussion about which kind of business would be the best option. Honestly, when friends get together, it’s impossible to predict where the conversation might lead. Talking like this, we didn’t even realize how late it had become.

We wrapped up our conversation and started heading home. I reached home around 10 PM. After returning, I finished my college studies and then went to sleep peacefully.

This afternoon spent hanging out with friends was truly wonderful. I hope this bond with them lasts forever. Moments like these are essential for peace of mind.
