What items are in the highest demand in your area? (fruit or vegetable or fish markets) |
---|
Generally in my area demands for fruits, vegetables or fish depends on seasons, cost and appetite of the people. So you cant actually tell which of them are in high demand especially when these things are what people eat every day.
There are some people that who can't eat without vegetables and fruits afterwards and there are those who can do without it. There are also those who prefer meat than fish and there are those who want fish.

From my observation, in this particular place I visited, the demand for vegetables seems higher. Therefore I can say the highest demand around here is vegetables.
The vegetables ranges from carrots, green peas, cabbage, cucumber, green pepper, lettuce, ugu leaf, water leaf and many more varieties.
Have you bought these yourself or visited them? Show pictures + videos and show their prices |

Guess what? Am a lover of vegetables. I love to use these vegetables for things like salad or eat them in their raw form. I also use those in form of leaves to make soup or stew.
Definitely yes I have bought these vegetables and I have also visited them myself.
I visited one of my customers that sell these vegetables. He is a Muslim man who speaks Hausa language. His name is Umar Abubakar. I understand and speak Hausa so well, each time I visit his shop we speak Hausa together and he is usually happy about it.

Each sellers have their own unique way of getting customers to buy from them. For example my customer oga Umar Abubakar has a unique way of getting people to buy from him.
Oga Umar calls people with his mouth to get their attention to buy from him. And the person eventually comes, he subsides the price to retain the customer and to make them buy.
The carrot he sells for 200 naira(1 steem) he gives me 3 of the bunch for 500 naira(2.5 Steem) instead of 600 naira( 3 Steem). Through that means he has been able to not only get a lot of customers but has been able to retain them for a very long time.
How important do you think the role of these businesses is in health and nutrition? |

Generally we know that we can not down play on the importance of vegetables to our health. These businesses has helped us a great deal reminding of of the importance of attaching vegetables to our diet.
Sometimes I forget to eat veggies but when I am opportune to pass by the market area and I see these businesses scattered across I am reminded to take care of my health by buying some of it.
Another important benefit of these businesses is the affordability it gives us which makes it easy for us to buy and get our body nourished. If you check from the price list I have given, you will notice that it's really affordable.
Eating these vegetables helps in nourishing our skin and health. It also helps to add digestion this won't be possible if this men and women into these are not into it.
