"SLC27-W3 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Business at the transport station."
Greetings, love & respect to all of my steemian friends. |

I am @saifuddinmahmud from Bangladesh. The challenge name is SLC27-W3 | A One-Day Street Journalist:Business at The Transport Station organised by @max-pro. I am going to submit my report.
Every day we travel for the needs of life. We use different means of transport for this travel. There are different stations for picking up and dropping off passengers in this transport. We are also reviewing a station and a business built around that station.
Which transport station in your city did you visit? Review a business there.
Railway station |
---|
I went to a railway station in my city. The name of this railway station is Shyampur Baraitala Railway Station.
Trains stop at this station every 1 hour. Passengers coming from different places get on and off from this station.
Juice trader |
---|
I went to a soft drink shop next to the station. This shop sells different fruit juices.
This shop has lemon juice. A glass of cold water is mixed with lemon juice, bit salt, sugar and juice powder according to the customer's demand and sold.
Fruit juice is sold here. This glass contains 1 piece of date, a few pieces of chopped apple, a few pieces of banana and a piece of cherry fruit. This juice is served by mixing plain water or lemon water.
There is also Tokma juice here. Tokma juice is a type of healthy drink. To make it, Tokma grains are soaked in water and then mixed with any fruit juice or plain water and drunk. It helps to keep the body cool.
Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.
Yes, I often come to this railway line and railway station. Many types of delicious fruit juices are available here. I came here today. I bought a glass of lemon juice from this shop and drank it. It was very hot today, so this glass of lemon juice quenched my thirst and cooled my body.

Why are passengers more attracted to these shops?
The shops at the railway station are within reach of the passengers. So they can easily buy any thing they need while waiting for the train or while taking a break. Different types of goods can be found in one place at a railway station. In many railway stations, some things that are not traditional to that place can also be purchased. Many passengers travel to different places from the platform of the railway station. They need many things on the way. So they buy necessary things from here before boarding the train. Many passengers travel a long way and get down at this station. Then they are hungry and thirsty. To quench their thirst, they come to these juice shops and drink juice. Apart from this, the shops next to the station offer necessary things at lower prices compared to other shops. So the passengers coming to the station are more attracted to these shops.
Are these businesses creating employment opportunities for local unemployed youth?
Yes, of course, these businesses have provided employment opportunities to local youth. The railway station is a populated area where thousands of people come and go. Taking advantage of this opportunity, local unemployed youth have established various business establishments. Local unemployed youth are involved in these businesses in various ways. Some open their own small shops or tong shops. Some work on daily wages. Some are involved in transportation or carrying goods. There are some shops here that are open from morning to night. Some shops close in the afternoon. These businesses that have developed around this station are run by local youth.
As a result, a small economic cycle is created around the railway station. Which also plays a role in the economic development of the surrounding area.
My happy ending |
---|
These businesses built around the railway station are not just shops, they also keep this station alive. These businessmen have a constant struggle to survive and a dream of becoming big businessmen. Maybe it's a heavy rain or a scorching heat. Even after so many obstacles, they don't want to close their shops. Despite thousands of hardships, they wait for the passengers with a smile and love. Because these people are the main buyers of their shops. It is our responsibility to treat them well and pay a reasonable price for the products. The morning begins with the sound of the first train's whistle and the day ends with the sound of the last train's whistle. Then they close their small shops.
