"SLC27-W3 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Business at the transport station."
Assalamu Alaikum.
Hello friends, how are you all? Alhamdulillah, I’m also doing well with all of your prayers.
A few days ago, brother @max-pro organized a wonderful contest. Thanks to him for arranging such a nice one. SLC27-W3 | A One-Day Street Journalist: Business at The Transport Station.
Today I visited the bus terminal in our small town Parbatipur. I took a few pictures there and then went to a small food shop nearby. Actually, this shop is right beside the bus terminal. Many people passengers, local residents, bus drivers, and helpers come here to eat. The food here is quite healthy too because everything is always kept covered, so no flies or dust can fall on the food.
Which transport station in your city did you visit? Review a business there.
Yes, I often visit the bus station in my city. There are different types of small businesses here mostly food stalls. Among them, the most popular ones are the food shops where people can get breakfast and evening snacks. However, they don’t usually serve lunch.
For breakfast, they offer chhola boot (chickpeas), muri, bandia, and tea. The food prices are very affordable, so both local people and bus passengers eat here regularly.
In the evening, you can find puri, piyaju, beguni, and other fried snacks. This shop belongs to my college friend’s father. I went there after a long time, and I was really impressed by their warm behavior. The shop may be small, but the food quality and hospitality are excellent.
Have you ever bought anything from these stores? Show pictures + videos and show their prices.
Yes, of course. I had my breakfast from this shop today. Many local people were also having breakfast there this morning. Since the shop is right beside the bus station, both passengers and locals come here for breakfast and evening snacks. In the afternoon, pedestrians and market people also stop by for snacks.

The shop stays open from 7 AM to 10 PM. They prepare bandia and chhola boot at home and bring them to the shop every day. In the evening, they make piyaju, beguni, alur chop and puri fresh at the shop. At night, they also sell boiled eggs chicken, duck, and quail eggs.

Why are passengers more attracted to these shops?

Passengers are mostly attracted to these shops because they are located right beside the bus stand, and the food prices are very reasonable. The food is clean and healthy, which makes it more appealing to everyone.
Local people also visit in the evening to enjoy snacks. In the morning, passengers who didn’t have breakfast at home can easily eat here before starting their journey. Even bus drivers and helpers eat at these shops regularly. I also had my breakfast here today it was simple but really tasty.
Are these businesses creating employment opportunities for local unemployed youth?
Yes, definitely. These small businesses are helping local unemployed youth in some ways. Most of these shops have a few workers, which helps reduce unemployment to a certain level. There are also many other small shops around the bus station that create similar job opportunities. Although these businesses are small and can’t hire many employees, they still play a part in providing work for some young people.
In conclusion, there are many small shops around the bus terminal, and some people work there as employees. These food stalls provide good-quality food at affordable prices, which helps passengers satisfy their hunger while traveling. People from far places stop here to eat because the food is tasty, clean, and cheap.
