This is a subject I do not yet fully understand, I must confess. There is a significant involvement of private banking, as I understand it.
And it's not common in most countries. But, I had never thought about the origin of central banks, it would be interesting to read about it. Because the truth is that even though they play a determining role in the financial world of each country, it seems to me that this system is already outdated. Otherwise, crypto-currencies and blockchain would not exist. That's a personal opinion, of course.

I think the origin of central banks started with some political influential men who wanted to posses the power to be able to print money.
