There are things that, when put in place in your daily routines, will help you to increase your productivity for the day. What you should know is that if there is a better and easier way to do something with a reduced stress, increased growth, and improved result, then you should go for it. The first hack here is to plan your next day the night preceding it. Spending just a few mins in the evening or at night to plan ahead can greatly increase your productivity for the next day. It can even be something as little as a to-do list that you make, with the allocated time and the order of importance. So by the next day, you will have a direction of what to do, and you will not waste time on irrelevant things. If you have a meeting tomorrow, for example, and you will be required to present a report paper, you can make a sketch of the report the previous night instead of the morning of the event. This will make the work easier for you, and you will deliver it effortlessly. The day that will be productive has to be planned for.

The second hack is to learn the power of priority. Not everything that catches your attention should be done at the same time. You have to know the tasks and activities that should come first - the ones that hold more importance. This helps you to focus your energy on doing what is important at the moment instead of trying to do everything at once and not get anyone done. Even if you have multiple things to do within the day, it will be a good practice to prioritise them and know which one comes first. By doing this, you will become more productive.

The third hack is to avoid procrastinating. What you should do for the day should be done on the same day. Everyday has its own activities. If you pile up the activities of today for tomorrow, you will discover that you will have more work to do tomorrow, and it will become more complex. There are some little tasks that may look insignificant and you may be tempted to keep procrastinating doing them. Over time, they may tend to pile up and become overwhelming. To avoid this, learn to do things promptly, and do not defer what you are supposed to do at the moment till another time. More so, doing things on time gives you the room to make corrections or adjustments easily without having time choke you.

The fourth hack we will talk about here is to limit distractions. There was a time I needed to do a particular task as home, but I discovered that since I was at home, I normally got distracted with watching football. It was the start of a new league season, so it piqued my interest. More over, the people I was staying with at that time were football fans, so each time they put match, I would come to the parlour to watch it. When I discovered this distraction, I found a way around it. What I did was, whenever I had tasks to do, I would do as much as I can at the office before coming back. Then when I want to work at home, I would take it to a place with the least distraction. When you limit distraction, you tend to focus more on what you are doing, and you will become more productive with the task.

The final hack here is to learn to batch similar tasks together. When you batch similar takes, you tend to save time and limit the mental energy you would have expended on switching between multiple unrelated tasks. For example; instead of spreading your entire days of the week randomly on meetings, you can choose maybe 2 days to hold all your meetings, then use the remaining days to do other things. Or maybe if you have some errands to run, you can group them together instead of doing it one after the other. This will help you to streamline your activities, and allow your brain to focus more on what you are doing. Always remember that your productivity for the day rests on your actions and activities.
