The Diary Game |31-03-2025 | "My joy on Eid day lasts until the Eid prayers."
Eid Mubarak,
Today is Eid day, every Eid day, I wake up to my mother's call at dawn. Everyone in the house went to the mosque and offered the Fajr prayer. Today, the mosque was full at Fajr time. After praying, we went to our community graveyard and returned home after praying for the dead.
After returning home, others went to the cowshed, someone was cleaning the dung. We have to clean ourselves by cleaning the cowshed. Many people are coming for milk this morning. My younger brother is milking the cow and after milking, he is giving the milk to our neighbors. I am spending some time with my nephew because the women of the house are doing some work.
I took a bath and put on my Punjabi. Now it is the time to give salami. My nephews and nieces have come to me for salami. I gave them salami. After receiving salami from me, they take salami from others in the house. This salami is a joyful occasion for the children. We ate home-cooked semai and went out to offer prayers. My father and younger brother had already left, and the three of us went out together.
We will walk to the Eidgah ground, a 500-meter road from our house. We reached the ground and hugged others. When we went to the ground, the ground was still empty, many had already arrived and some were coming. I sat towards the front and listened to the Imam. After the Eid prayers and sermon, the Imam gave a long talk today.
We are returning home after finishing our prayers and munajat, walking this time through a different route. My nephew has joined us this time. Earlier, he had gone to the field with my father. My Eid joy or activities were limited to this point today. I returned home and changed my clothes. I went to my brother's market to get meat, and I spent some time talking to my parents. I slept until noon and watched Facebook reels on my mobile. At noon, we were all together at the dining table. It was a joyful moment of Eid.
In the afternoon I went to our almond and corn fields. I saw that our almond crops were attacked by insects. The almond leaves seem to be rusted. Our corn cobs were attacked by insects which is very harmful. They are eating the corn and it will reduce our crop production. I returned home after visiting the crop fields and my Eid activities are over for today.
