Friendly Football Rematch Between StayFit FT and HFM FT Ended 4:1

Do you know the sound of winning a football match in someone's home? It's a tremendous scream. Anyways, it's not as bad as losing because one may feel — anyways, it's their home. They deserved the win, but we won..... How? Let me give you the narration right from when we were at our hometown before journeying to play with a distant fitness team....

The day before the match, arrangements were made with regard to movement and refreshments. Departure time was slated for 7am, and the meeting point was at our fitness training centre. This posed a major challenge to my sleep time, as I usually sleep late at night and wake up late in the morning. That night, I slept by 12am, which on a normal day, I would sleep by 3am after placing a few trades.

Morning came, and I was still in bed. I don't know what woke me up, but I thank God I woke up before the departure time. I rushed in preparation and boarded a vehicle to the fitness centre, which was the meeting point. While on the road, I considered the scriptures by myself and learnt something integral that day. The verse I read says, 'If sinners try to entice you, do not consent

Why this verse, and what's the lesson? We live in a world filled with people whose thoughts grow bad day by day. You see youths trying to seduce other youths into robbery, sex and other forms of evil deeds. People get pressured by friends, families and relatives to do things outside morals, just to make money or earn satisfaction.

Even in the school environment, you get to see students pressure other students into taking drugs, smoking and living immoral lives.. These are the people the scripture classifies as sinners. If they get you pressured into wrongdoing and you consent, you'll definitely start living full of regrets, lost conscience and wickedness.

This was a bold lesson for me to start the day. When I arrived at the venue, I met my coach @ngoenyi trying to place calls on our own players, both male and female. We had a good number of fan bases who came to support and cheer us up. We filled the vehicle and headed for the stadium. The stadium is located at West Itam. It was a 30-minute journey. Unfortunately, we couldn't meet them on training...... We were supposed to follow them and work out.

My stomach worms couldn't let me breathe well. I stepped outside the stadium to purchase bread and bean cake. I met @alli001 and @kidi40 purchasing this morning's breakfast. I joined the queue and took 2 bean cakes and one bread. @alli001 took care of the expenses. My bill was #500 naira which is 2.6 steems. I then left for the stadium to do my work. The team and coach arrived in no time, as we were ahead of them. The HFM team welcomed us with open arms to their home.

The condition of their field was questionable, but we had to manage. The StayFit team was made up of @alli001, @kidi40, @ngoenyi as one of the female players and @benton3. I was an acting media personnel, and @chichigirl, @fortwis09 and @wizzyboy3 were among the supporters. The game started with our commentator welcoming both teams in and acknowledging them.

The match was opened with both teams exchanging pleasantries. From my media view, we started on the right-hand side of the field, while the HFM team started on the left-hand side. I made use of my device to capture the moments. To make it more like the friendly match it was, all players were male. In each team, there were at least 3 female players and 7 males. StayFit had two Steemit users who filled in the female gap and 3 male Steemians who were part of the 7.

The match kicked off with HFM team passing first. In less than 10 minutes of the first half, we scored a goal. It was as if StayFit were mounting much pressure on them. From my mind's eye, StayFit started on a good foot and sort of made HFM feel they would receive up to 10 goals from them. There was less resilience by the HFM team.

Their women just tried to tighten their defence as the male players tried to secure a goal. Under 22 minutes, they equalised the goal, and this gave them motivation to hit us hard. The commentator made an announcement on the ball possession in favour of StayFit Fitness Team, really showing off their skills.

StayFit didn't allow that one goal to be a stumbling block for them. They had a very good defence behind, a young guy who was blocking all shots on targets by heading them. He was a good defence back there and helped the goalkeeper a lot to be less worried about catching goals from unexpected angles. The midfielders played strongly, which led to StayFit securing another goal at the end of the first half. We didn't play for a full 45 minutes because we had women who were playing, and there were no substitutes for women. We had to consider their strengths and weaknesses.

After resting for 10 minutes, both teams switched positions on the field and started off wildly, this time for the goal. Both teams came in vitalised, but StayFit still mounted full pressure on HFM. They made their way to scoring 2 goals but were counted as offside. That didn't ring a bell in their minds. While HFM focused more on defending their wing, StayFit focused more on breaking in, and they scored 2 counted goals, making it 4 goals. The game ended in no time.

All players did excellently well, though a couple of them got yellow cards for foul play. StayFit rejoiced in her win. From the video, you'll see that the jubilation could reach the sky. This was a rematch, as we won them in our home, and now we're winning them in their home. Since it was a friendly match, we didn't see it fit to oppress the other team, and neither did they. They surprised us as we surprised them in our home.
