Greetings friends, I hope you are all fine as I am. I appreciate the Hindwhale community and @jyoti-thelight for organising this contest. I have power up 106.439 steem, and I am glad to share with you the step-by-step process.

MEANING OF POWER-UP
Power-up means the process of changing or converting the raw steem earned through steemit activities into steem power.

Importance Of Performing Power-Up
The importance of power-ups is numerous and below are a few of them:

1. Powering up helps in building Steem power.
2. It helps in growing one's reputation on Steemit.
3. It makes steem scarce thereby influencing its price positively.
4. It shows the commitment of a steemian
5. Powering up is an investment of steem which can be powered down with time
6. Powering up helps Stemian to belong to a club.
7. It helps Steemians earn more curation rewards.

**PROCESS FOR THE POWER-UP
The first thing I did was to log into my blog and then move straight to my wallet. In the wallet, I provided my username and posting key, and my Steem and Steem Power appeared in green ink as shown below.

My current steem is writing there: 106.439 STEEM, and my current STEEM POWER IS 2931.296 STEEM, all in green ink. I clicked on the small triangle close to the steem and a menu popped-up.

On the menu, I click on power up and a new page pops up whose heading is convert to STEEM POWER.

I click on Balance, which means I am converting all my STEEM, and the value appears in the column for the amount, and the power-up button changes to black.

I clicked on the power-up button and it took me to another page titled Confirm transfer to vesting.

I clicked on ok and my STEEM POWER immediately changed from 2931.296 STEEM to 3037.736 STEEM while the raw steem change to 0.000.
