Floriade, Canberra:The Tulip Park

Do you know the tulip is one of the most loved flowers in the world?

I came to Canberra in November 2018 but started visiting Floriade in 2019. Trust me, I am in absolute love with this flower. I missed it in 2921-22 due to the pandemic but commenced visiting Floriade as soon as the government reopened it.

 
Note: I have not spelled Floriade wrong, but it is one of the most visited flower exhibitions anywhere in the world with a difference; you can see all varieties of tulip flowers in this place available anywhere in the world.

You said right that nature offers peace, beauty, and inspiration. I can vouch for that in a variety of ways, and if you come to Floriade with me you will witness one of the best collections of tulips, and that too in just one place.

By the way, I have been on mountain trails, in parks, and lived in coastal areas, but when it comes to describing beauty, Floriade comes to my mind before any other place.

This is, of course, a local gem and not hidden from the world that loves flowers, being a world-famous site that will help recharge our energy and appreciate the world around us.

You will watch nothing but a single flower in a large area spread over hectares buzzing with various fun and joyful activities apart from the flowers.

Floriade is an absolute paradise for photographers. I am sad that I have not visited the venue this year so far since it has already started on 11th September and will go on until 11th October, but I have my plans to go and add more tulip flowers to my collection.

As you will agree with me, you can identify tulip flowers from a distance with their unique shapes that come in various sizes and colors.

They come dull and bright, but a tulip remains unique, whatever the color or size. Tulip is my perfect love. You will be surprised to know that the meaning of "tulip" is "perfect love" in the Persian language.

History or Background

Is there a story, legend, or event linked to the place? I am sure the organizers of this contest know about the Persian love story of Shirin and Farhad. Yes, the flower tulip originated in Persia and is a symbol of love as well as pride. Shirin and Farhad are very much associated with the tulip, as this flower originates from Persia, the land of pyramids.

Okay, they say the tulip comes from Holland. Alright, I will take that, but then there are so many things that world had before they migrated and considered coming from that place or country. So is the case of Tulip.

I come to the point of why I am talking about Tulip, the symbol of love and pride. For a simple reason, I love flowers, and I have written about flowers before on this platform.

I am proud to be a flower lover; therefore, Tulip absolutely reminds me of these two terms: love and pride!
