Hello everybody, How is everyone doing? I am back after a long time. And a lot has changed since then. So today I am here to share my this week’s diary. And probably I will share my journey with you all. The month of July has brought along a lot of changes. It has thrown a lot of challenges my way and also a tint of newness and a lot of different vibes. Yes I am saying all this, because I recently moved to a new city, which I will be now calling my home. At least for a few years I believe 😃.

Chaturshrungi Mandir, Pune

So in the beginning of this week, with all of my belongings, I left from Ahmedabad to get on to a new journey to come to the city of Pune, Maharashtra. Setting up a new home in another city can be tough! Both emotionally and financially. It’s my first time away from home, and now I understand what all things we face. I don’t mean to make it sound like a bad thing or anything but it’s definitely challenging. The first week in Pune, has taught me a lot of different things. Before moving here, I had already spoken to one of the owners of a an apartment and planned to shift to the same apartment.

I reached here, with all of my stuff. And then came straight to this place. One of my other colleagues had also taken a place on rent for herself. While my other colleagues had already started buying stuff to set up their homes, such as a bed, cupboard etc. after 2 or 3 days I realised that I am paying a lot of rent because I am renting a place all alone which is costing me a lot. So I decided to talk to my friend, and rent an apartment together, so that we could split all our expenses and it would be much more cost effective for both of us. We would also get each other’s company. Listening to my suggestion, my friend happily agreed on this point and we soon began hunting for different flats.

During all of this, we had to deal with one more thing. We had to deal with the home owners of our previous homes which we had rented individually. So, fortunately my home owner turned out to be much more cooperative. But my friend’s owner turned out to be very stingy. He started saying that there is a 2 month notice period before you leave the house, and in case I don’t get any tenant by next month, then I will cut the amount for the next month’s rent from the deposit. So from this experience, we learnt that not everyone is a kind landlord.

Well apart from that, we are also struggling with financial issues and are slowly slowly learning to adapt to a new environment, a new home, new people and a new city. I will keep writing about my journey. Thank you all for reading my post. I will be back with another post soon. Until then bye take care 👋 and stay healthy.
