Hi Friends, How are you all? I hope everyone has started the week on a good note. Mine is going pretty well 😇. Today we had a dust storm here in Ahmedabad, but no sign of rain yet, hopefully we receive rain showers soon. 🌧️ Welcome to another travel diary of mine. Today I am here to share how we spent the Day 3 of our Mysore trip. You can find my previous post over here . So let’s begin with the post.

Shree Shvetha Varaha temple

After we came back from Ooty, we had one more day in Mysore. So we decided to complete all the tourist spots that were left to visit. We went to the Mysore Palace and then visited the very famous restaurant RRR near the palace only which is popular for Hyderabad meals. The palace is so huge that it took us half a day to complete the entire tour. So first we started the day with a good breakfast near our hotel. Then we proceeded to go to the palace.

Delcious Set Dosa Breakfast and the entrance of the Grand Mysore Palace

We hired a guide who was with us explaining about the importance of the palace and how even some movies and songs were shot there. He showed us the beautiful architecture and various art styles that were all over the walls of the palace.

The beauty of the Grand Mysore Palace

As you can see in the pictures as well, the palace is really pretty and it has such colorful architecture. There were a lot of people visiting the palace, not only from India but from all over the world. The palace is known as a royal residence. It had a grand hall, very beautiful and big doors. There were pictures of the royal family and also we saw royal furniture that was put on display at the palace.

We even bought some iconic fans as a part of our souvenir from there. My parents bought some extra fans, to gift their family friends in Mozambique as well. At each spot, the guide was clicking a picture for us, showing us the inside of the entire palace and capturing every moment of it. It was really a sight to see.

After we were done with the palace visit, we quickly moved on to the RRR restaurant, to have a delicious lunch. So here I come to the end of my Day 3 travel diary. I will be back with the next day’s travel diary in this trip. Till then bye 👋 take care. Do share your comments.
