My Diary Game: VISITATION AND DOMESTIC ENGAGEMENTS – 9/10/2025

Hi! Steemians, I come your way again to share my engagements today. I believe you're doing well.Today was fine! I went out, and I came back to see electricity and pipeline water flow. These two have been a prayer point for days now. But we thank God in all.

I woke up strong, we had our family prayers, then prepared our son for school. At about 8:50am I left the house to join my executive committee to pay a visit to Christian Council of Nigeria (CCN) chairman, Akwa Ibom State Chapter. The appointment was scheduled for 9:30am. It was possible to meet with him, and thus we presented our end-of-year events as lined up, with a focus on the CCN football tournament coming up from 2nd November to 15th December, 2025. The Chairman gave us his support and further advised us (the Youth Wing of the CCN) to remain focused on Christ and dare to be different in a world of our own. The cleric ended the meeting with prayers of blessings.

At about 12 pm, the weather was very sunny and clement; I had to take advantage to wash our clothes. There has been no water from the Water Board Company until this afternoon. We were happy, making the laundry very interesting for me. I washed my wife's and my son's clothes.My phone had a low battery, and the torchlight needed to be charged for the night.
I put a solar panel under the sun to generate energy for charging gadgets, but surprisingly, while we were still celebrating the flowing of water, there was a power supply, and everywhere became lively. I washed and did other cleanings in the house with my wife.None of us went to pick up our son at school due to how engaged we were. I called the school driver to drop him for me; at 2:30pm, the boy was back home. He ate and watched Disney Junior while his mother and I were busy.

The washing and cleaning that started in the afternoon runs through the evening. The last thing I did was to wash rubbers for my wife's zobo drink. All of this washing was possible because there was enough water. Electricity later failed us; the Port Court Electricity Distribution (PHED) has been releasing memo upon memo in the past months, soliciting the public's understanding over electrical issues. In fact, it is safe to say that such notice has been coming on a weekly basis. Electricity in recent times poses a serious challenge that we will one day overcome. There is still no power supply. After my dinner, I went to bed.

I will say that today was a beautiful day with many engagements successfully completed. The visit, the domestic services carried out, and the return of water and light, even though they didn't last as expected.
