Supermarkets!!! I am sure most of us here have explored super markets, maybe to get food items or clothes, this fully-parked market has given us access to quality food products and wears. I am glad to take part in the first week of the Steem Learning challenge by @dasudi, I will be sharing a quality supermarket in my locality.

The task is looks easy but at the same time tough based on location. In my town it is not easy to take photographs of a business you'll be cautioned for that. Taking photographs in this supermarket is not fully allowed, you can be allowed sometimes while you might be unlucky next time. I made sure I was able to get photographs and videos from every visit to this supermarket.

Name, location and hours of the establishment.

Market Square is a supermarket that has a lot of branches in the country, there are known for their pocket friendly prices and quality products. The name of this supermarket is Market Square, Uyo, it has a very good facility and it is easily accessible.

Talking about accessibility, this place is located in the heart of my city and it is accessible with good road networks. This mall is located in uyo, the capital city of Akwa ibom state, Nigeria. It is a popular point because the building is interlock/close to a popular mall and game center.

Market Square, uyo became functional in 2020 and since then they've been serving its customers daily. What do you think their opening/closing time is? From Mondays to Saturdays market square opens by 8am and closes by 10pm, while on Sundays it opens by 10am and closes by 10pm this gives workers and also customers time for their services.

Atmosphere

This is one of the best huge supermarket in my town and it is the people's favourite, and it welcomes people from different country, having various dishes for them.

Talking of the atmosphere in market square, it is moderate and suitable for people in other countries too like Russia, USA, etc. These countries have different degree's of cold and this market square atmosphere gives that moderate temperature for all.

Facilities and structure

Bread section

The market square building is very wide with different sections, it is very easy to locate different sections based on what you want to buy, you can easily see a banner indicating what is being sold on each section, even with no banner you could easily see a particular foodstuffs or equipments on a particular section and it will ease your search.

Right in the Bread section, you can see through the transparent glass an open bakery where those market square bread and other items like cake, jollof rice, local delicacies, scones, burger, burger bread and so on. All these are prepared in the bread section, you can easily see how they're baking.

The Air conditioning system is awesome and you could easily see it right above you, I couldn't take a picture of it because of one reason which you'll know soon. The whole block is equipped with camera in all angles and also placed above near the Ac system, reasons I didn't want to take photos of it.

There are baskets and also rolling carts here which makes it easy for customers to move their goods from the supermarket to the parking lot, and also pick enough items while shopping.

Products that surprised me in the market

1000918577.jpg

Moving through the kiddies section, I was very shocked to see teddy bear with a price value of 80 - 100 thousand naira(430-537steems). My jaws dropped and I was wondering what I would be doing with a teddy toy that doesn't talk valued at such price.

I moved further and saw the dental section and I was able to find toothpaste which I was planning to buy while getting there, I was just moving through till I saw a price of a toothpaste valued at 60,000 naira(322steems), I was very surprised to see this but I was relieved when I knew it was for a tooth condition.

Supermarket payment method
1000918284.jpgPayment counter

There are various ways to pay for your products in this supermarket, you just need to come over to the counter which is beside the entrance. If you have cash, that is Naira the accepted currency in my country, then it will be easy to pay for your goods. You can also make payments with your debit cards via the counter.

What if you're not with your card, you can get a total value of your products and move over to a payment counter beside to make transfers with your phone. I don't think crypto currencies are accepted in this supermarket.

Restrooms

The mall has a very good restroom that is well taken care of, I saw an signage kept on the one side of the floor which indicated a wet floor, one of the workers was already working on it. They're two sections which were the female and male sections which are opposite each other.

It has several facilities like the hand washing sink and tube and also has a warm hand dryer.

My Personal Experience in the Supermarket
1000918605.jpgA picture of me in the Supermarket

I have always loved to get to this supermarket, the atmosphere is always welcoming, the lights are bright and it makes the products very visible to the customers. Let me take you to a very personal experience I had in the mall.

I paid my way to the mall, from where I stay it didn't take more than 30 mins to arrive at the location because of the good road network.

1000918580.jpg

I arrived in the supermarket and I was able to see carts, products and people in the location, I was alerted by one of the staffs there to declare my belongings, this is done to ensure no one picks any product down to their bags. I gave my bag and took a tag which I will use to get back my bag.

I moved about in the supermarket, going through different sections to check goods, I just went to the deodorants and perfume sections to see the one i would be buying next.

1000918597.jpg

I took the basket as we went on to carry bread from the section, we choose the burger bread which is paired 4, I love breads and this one especially because of how soft it is. The customer service and payment went smoothly as I went over to the transfer counter to make payment.
