The diary game. A Day Amidst Autumn’s Apple Harvest

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable.

I got up very early in the morning, as I have the habit of rising early. My help came from the birds living in the vicinity of my place, who started chirping on the open windows of my room, making me uncomfortable in bed. I was quick to kick myself out of bed and went to purify myself by performing ablution. Then I offered prayers in the nearby mosque, thus starting my day with peace, prosperity, and gratitude to the Almighty for whatever I have received from Him.

After completing the prayers, I headed back to my place and went straight to the garden for some gardening work, as half of it had already been occupied by apples being packed for export. I finished my gardening quickly and placed the plants in their appropriate spots. After that, I went for a walk on the road that leads to a different village. On this road, I jogged and broke some sweat, which helped me burn some calories. It actually makes me agile and nimble throughout the day and helps me stay positive, leaving little room for negative thoughts in my mind.

I was done with all my morning chores at around 9:30 AM, after which I left for my office, which has been my routine for a month or so because I have been posted in a far-off area that serves as the district headquarters. For that reason, I need to leave my house a little early in the day to reach there on time. Upon reaching my office, I got involved in digitisation work. My colleague dictated the revenue records to me, which I digitised on the portal provided by the revenue department. Officials have been deputed with us to assist in the dictation of these records, as they are in the Urdu language, and reading Urdu for new ones like me is quite a challenging task.

While I was in the office, I had my lunch at 1 PM. In the afternoon, I finished all my tasks for the day and then headed back home. I took a shortcut to reach my place a little early because I wanted to help the workers there pack apples into boxes for export. Upon reaching home, I freshened up and went outside to assist them, as they required my help. It’s quite important to be there; otherwise, they have to lift and move all the packed boxes by themselves, which is a tiring job.

It was quite a pleasure to be there doing this work, as such activities give me immense joy. Autumn always comes with a different vibe here in the valley, and that vibe spreads excitement among the people. The only thing that hurts these days is the rate of apples, which has gone down terribly, causing most of the exports to result in losses for the farmers.

Later in the day, after wrapping up the packing work, I went to bring milk and other items from the store. It was around 9:30 PM when I had my dinner. Afterward, I spent some time on social media, and once I’d had enough screen time, I went to sleep and called it a day.
