The diary game. A Day of Orchard Duties, Family Commitments, and Village Moments

in Hindwhale Community14 days ago

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

I got up very early in the morning as the birds living in the vicinity of my house started chirping on the open windows and the balcony, which made me quite irritated in bed. I quickly got up and performed ablution to purify myself for the morning prayer and then went to offer the morning prayers in the nearby mosque. I started my day with a sense of peace and prosperity and embraced some positivity, which helps me throughout the day to maintain a positive attitude and remain patient and composed in difficult situations.

As today was a holiday and I had nothing much to do either at home or at the office, I was not in any sort of hurry. After I was done with the prayer, I made supplications and headed back to my place. I got into some gardening work, as I usually do early in the day, as it helps me maintain the aesthetics of my place and also gives me a sense of calmness. I watered the lawn, removed weeds, and finally placed different plants in their appropriate spots to help them grow in suitable conditions.

Later, I had planned to go for a walk toward the orchards, but since I had to leave for some work in one of the orchards lying at the top of the hill and another near the stream flowing through our village, I had to skip the walk. I had breakfast at around 9 AM with my parents in the dining room. My mother asked me to help my father take the water pump to one of our orchards where irrigation was required. For that reason, I had to carry the necessary equipment to the orchard, install it first, and then start the irrigation process. I left afterward, as my father asked me to go attend one of our relative’s weddings.

Upon reaching home, I quickly got ready and confirmed the arrival of the guests at the wedding. I looked around for someone I would be comfortable spending time with and called a few young lads who were present at the wedding to make sure I had company. Carrying the equipment like the motor pump, pipes, and other tools was quite exhausting, especially as I had to go downhill with all the items.

Later in the day, after we finished the work in the orchard, I left my father there and headed to another orchard located in the village with the idea of harvesting some apples and taking them home. I also attended the wedding ceremony of one of our relatives there. Lunch was served quite late, around 4:30 PM, and for that reason, I felt very full and couldn’t eat anything else afterward.

Upon returning home late in the day, I went along with my mother to another orchard located a little far from our house where we had planned to harvest a few apple boxes. Unfortunately, when we reached there, I noticed the apples were already affected by a disease called scab, which is quite harmful to the crop. As a result, those apples were not suitable for export.

Later, I went to meet my friends in the main market of the village where we spent some good time chatting. After they left, I sat with one of my friends in his shop and enjoyed some more moments together. At around 9:30 PM, I had my dinner, and afterward, I spent about an hour browsing through social media.

Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
