The diary game. A Day Rooted in Routine, Reflection, and Responsibility

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

I got up very early in the morning as I have a good habit of rising early. Straightaway, after performing ablution, I went to offer the morning prayers in the nearby mosque. As such, I started my day with peace, prosperity, gratitude, and a positive vibe, which keeps me positive throughout the day and helps me face challenges with a positive attitude. After making supplications, I headed back to my place to get into some gardening work—watering the lawn, looking for weeds and removing them, and then placing different plants in their appropriate places, like some needing shade and others requiring open sun.

After I was done with the garden work, I went for a walk towards the outer part of the village where we have an orchard. The walk helps me get a cursory view of the apples and examine whether there is any need for pesticides or anything like that. It also helps me burn some extra calories, which would otherwise accumulate and turn out to be quite dangerous sometimes. These days, going out to the orchards is quite a pleasing thing to do early in the day because the apples spread a pleasing aroma, which not only gives satisfaction but also makes us realise how much hard work the farmers have put in throughout the year. Now, when the harvest is to be done in a few days, the time spent out in the orchard is quite mesmerising.

Upon reaching back home, I quickly had my breakfast as my parents were already waiting for me to return and join them. Only after breakfast did I get ready for office and then left for the district headquarters where I have been recently posted. Upon reaching there, I straightaway got into work as I am gaining peace with my new assignment. Earlier, I didn’t know how to do various things, but now that I have been doing this work for over two weeks, I’m becoming adept at it and can finish my assignments well within the time.

Today, I had to attend my friend’s marriage party, which was to be held in a village very close to mine. For that reason, I had to return from the office in the afternoon. My friend called me a couple of times to hurry me up to their place, as the guests had already arrived and the feast was being served. Here in Kashmir, the typical Kashmiri cuisine, Wazwan, is served to all the guests together.

Only after having my lunch there—around 4:30 PM—I returned home. This late lunch made me a little lazy, and I straightaway went to take a nap. Later in the day, I had to take my cousin to the hospital. He was being treated for chickenpox, as he had gotten the infection from school, and since he is not immune to such infections, he had to suffer a little more than usual. As he was admitted, I had to stay there with him, and he spent some time on Snapchat while playing games that actually come up as filters in the app.

Later, at around 10:30 PM, I returned home and went to sleep. As I had a late lunch at my friend’s place, I couldn’t have dinner as I was already full. Finally, at around 11:30 PM, I went to sleep.

Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
