The Diary game. A Long Day of Work, Worship, and Reflection During Ramadan, Ending in Peaceful Prayers
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
We are in the third phase of Ramadan, the holiest month of the lunar calendar, and now life has settled into a new routine. The body has acclimatized to the new eating and fasting habits, making fasting feel normal, with hunger hardly bothering anymore. It’s a month of blessings and immense bounties, and Muslims all across the world strictly adhere to the tenets of Ramadan. It’s our favorite part of the year.
This month brings an unimaginable sense of satisfaction and gratitude. At this stage, Muslims across the world feel a sense of sadness as the countdown begins, wishing for a few more days in this sacred month. However, this isn’t something within human control; after all, it follows a divine system beyond our influence.
Today, once again, I got up early in the morning at around 4 AM and went straight to perform ablution to purify myself for the religious activities that would follow. First, I had the pre-dawn meal called Suhoor, which must be completed within a fixed time and cannot continue after its designated period ends. It is permitted until just before actual sunrise.
After finishing my meal, I headed to the mosque to offer the morning prayers. Once I completed the prayers, I returned home to get some more sleep, as I hadn’t had enough rest during the night due to going to bed very late.
Today was Friday, and not only did I have to go to the office, but I also had to attend the congregational prayers at the renowned Sufi saint’s Dargah in Charar-e-Sharief, located about 20 km from my place. Additionally, I had to visit my to-be sister-in-law’s house in Sharief, for which I needed to arrange some items before the prayers so that I could return in time before breaking the fast.
I left home at around 9:45 AM to head to the office, where I got straight to work and finished by 1 PM. After getting consent from my boss, I proceeded to a nearby town to buy the items I needed to take to my sister-in-law’s house. Unfortunately, I couldn’t complete these tasks quickly as I got stuck in a massive traffic jam due to a long convoy of vehicles heading towards Sharief for the congregational prayers. While I was still in the middle of my errands, I had to offer the Friday prayers at one of the grand mosques in Chadoora.
After prayers, I had a conversation with Rajshree, along with my cousin, whom I had picked up from his house in Chadoora’s local market. It was around 3:30 PM when I reached there, and we spent some good time together. On my way to their place, I was captivated by the breathtaking scenery of the Karawas of Nagam, where a vast number of almond trees in full bloom caught my eye. The sight was truly mesmerizing, and I couldn’t resist stopping to take some pictures.
Later, I returned home, dropped my cousin at his place, and then headed towards my own. I reached home just in time for Iftar and hastily made some preparations. After breaking the fast, I proceeded to the evening prayers at the local mosque.
Today, I was a little tired, but I still managed to offer the special Taraweeh prayers of Ramadan. After that, I went straight home to go to bed and call it a day.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
