Hello dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all must be doing great and must be enjoying your lives today. I am here to share with you at another day of my life as it was my special day as my friend got married, and I am here to share with you some glimpses of my day, and I hope you will get enough time to read my post and find it worthwhile to upvote.

Today was my friend’s wedding day. I was staying with him from yesterday, and very early in the morning, when the sun’s rays struck the window of the room, I quickly got up and went to offer the morning prayers at the mosque situated just beside their house. I started my day by offering the morning prayers and thus embraced peace and a vibe of prosperity and positivity.

Once I was done with the prayers, I headed back to their place, had breakfast there, and then came to my own place to accomplish a few tasks that I needed to complete early in the day, as I usually do while being at home. Upon reaching home, I immediately got into some gardening work. I watered the lawn, looked for any weeds, and then placed different plants in their appropriate places. After I was done with these morning chores, I took a bath and made arrangements for the event that was to happen later in the day. I had to accompany my friend to the bride’s home as part of the baraat, which is a significant part of a marriage where the groom is taken to the bride’s home. After the Nikaah is performed there, the couple returns home. For that ceremony, a number of people accompany the groom, and a grand reception is held at the bride’s place.

Today, I had to carry the groom in my car, and for that reason, I had to not only make my car look good but also decorate it with flowers and garlands. I quickly got home and took my car to a nearby wash station, where I had it washed and then left it for decoration. Meanwhile, while my car was being washed, I went to my friend’s place to assist in serving the guests who had arrived and to help with serving a special cuisine called Wazwan, which is typically served at such marriage ceremonies.

Later, around 4:30 PM, it was my turn to have lunch, after which I accompanied my friend to one of the nearest shrines, popular all across India, called the shrine of Sheikh Nooruddin Noorani, located at Charar-i-Sharief, about 45 km from our place. It took us about an hour to complete all that was required as part of our tradition, and then we headed back to our village to get ready for the baraat.

At around 8:30 PM, we left for the groom’s house. It took us an hour to reach there, and we arrived at around 9:30 PM. The weather turned unfavorable, and it started raining heavily while we were on our way, but fortunately, the rain had stopped by the time we arrived, which was a happy moment for all of us.

After finishing all the requirements—one could say the formalities and reception—we headed to the guestroom where we had to stay. The cleric took about an hour to complete all the formalities of tying the knot the Islamic way, which we call Nikaah, and then we had our dinner. All the formalities were completed around 12 AM, after which we left for our place and reached home at around 1:30 AM.

Upon reaching my friend’s place, we made arrangements for the people who had accompanied the bride. Only after giving them a warm reception and serving them the food and other traditional items were we done. Then I left for my place and called my brother to open the gate for me. It was around 2:30 AM when I went to sleep and called it a day.

It’s all what I had to say for today. Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
