Hi friends,
Hope you are enjoying weekend holidays.
We went on a spiritual trip on the 23rd. I had already written about visiting the Kalakasti temple during the day in my previous diary, and that night we had planned to go to the very famous Balaji temple located on the hill called Tirumalai in Tirupati at 8 pm. That day we got the queue ticket at 8 pm. We have to book the ticket here and go. You can book the ticket online for 300 rupees and directly for free. But we will be allowed to go to the queue only at the time they give us. Even if we go in the queue, it takes about 5 hours to have darshan because lakhs of devotees from all over the world come to this temple every day and about 10,000 people visit it per hour. That is the temple we went to that day and I am going to tell you about it.
The place called Tirumalai is about 35 kilometers away from Tirupati by mountain road. Since it is a mountain road trip, one path has been set up for going up and one path for going down. The road has been made in a very safe way for walking. When going from Tirupati, a complete check is done at the place called "destroying" halfway. Plastic and liquor tobacco are not allowed to go up. Everything is checked there and filtered. After that, you are allowed to go up. Similarly, all the luggage is checked to see if there is any bomb. Similarly, men and women are checked separately one by one and then you are allowed to go up from there. We went in a bus operated by Tirupati Devasthanam. Adults are charged 90 rupees and children are charged 60 rupees as ticket.
We bought tickets together to go up and down. After getting the ticket, you can board any bus and similarly when coming down, you can board any bus. After completing the checking formalities, we boarded the bus again and sat down. The bus left and went up. Once we went up, only cell phones were allowed while going to the temple. We had to leave all our luggage in a locker, and cell phones and electronic devices were not allowed, so we couldn't take any more photos.
We had bought a ticket for 300 rupees, so we went there and showed our tickets. Thousands of people were already standing in the queue. We also stood with them. The queue was moving. At one place, there were many compartment-like hall with seats in them. Everyone who was standing there was asked to wait there. After a while, everyone was given food. We also bought food and drank and then waited for about an hour before the gate opened. We walked again. After walking for about 20 minutes, there was another check-in. Everyone was scanned. The tickets were checked. Our ID cards were matched. After that, we were allowed to queue again.
After that, it was moving very slowly. Everyone was praying to God, saying, "Govinda, Govinda." We were also walking. We shared the path so that no one would miss us. When we entered the temple, all the devotees shouted "Govinda" to praise the lord Balaji. After that, when we went inside, there were security guards at the entrance, and they kept advising us to go separately. They advised us not to go in a group and not to push each other. We were walking like that. At one point, we got a glimpse of Bhagwan. When we saw the 8-foot-tall Balaji idol, we stood there in awe, but they did not allow us to stand there for a long time. After bowing down to God, we left from there. After coming out, everyone was given laddu as prasad. After buying and eating it, we came out of the temple. By the time we came out, it was exactly 12 o'clock. After that, we went to the counter to buy the cell phone that we had been given, showed the ticket, and got it. We then went to the shops there and bought some things. Then we went to the bus stand and boarded a bus and came down. By the 4.00 time we reached our room, it was already morning.
