Homemade Tomato and Basil Ketchup
I am extremely delighted to participate in the 2nd week of Steemit Challenge Season 27 . Last week I made garlic ketchup which was very tasty and healthy. Thanks to @afzalqamar. I believe this season I will get to know about Ketchup. So Let's hope for the best.
List all the ingredients used in making herbal basil tomato ketchup along with their correct quantities. (2 marks)

Water | 1/2 cup |

Making Process
Step- I
First I gathered all the ingredients. Then I washed the tomatoes thoroughly with fresh water. The tomatoes were stored in the fridge. So I took them out of the fridge a while before preparing the ketchup.

Here I chopped the tomatoes into small round pieces so that I could cook them easily. I chopped them with a knife. So that they would cook faster. Then I put the chopped tomatoes in a pan and put them on the stove. Here I used about a cup of water. Then I put a lid on it and let the tomatoes cook on low heat. After the tomatoes cooked for about 4-5 minutes. Then I cooked them for another three to four minutes.

Then I blended the cooked tomatoes and were well blended. The more you blend it, the smoother the ketchup will be. After blending, I strained it using a sieve to remove any skins or other hard particles.

Cinnamon
Then I heat a pan at low flame. Then pour 1 tbs cooking and fry cloves and cinnamon.

In this step I added the bland tomato sauce to pan and cooked them on low flame. Then I slowly added the rest of the ingredients. I added salt, black pepper, chili flakes to taste and jaggery. These will make this ketchup flavorful.

Finally I added 1/3 cup of vinegar and stirred for some more time. After 4 to 5 minutes of simmering like this my ketchup is ready. I power off the stove. In final touch I add chopped basil and cover with a lid so the leaves would enter the ketchup through the steam .

In the last step, I strained the ketchup using a cloth. This separated the hard particles like cloves, cinnamon, and basil leaves from the ketchup.
Present your final homemade ketchup to make it look attractive and well-prepared. Also use your name tag and date written on a paper. (2 marks)

Explain any three herbal health benefits of basil tomato ketchup. (2 marks)
We know that basil leaves are naturally rich in antibacterial and antioxidant properties. And tomatoes contain vitamin C. And basil combines with the vitamin C of tomatoes, it increases the body's immunity. Regular consumption of this ketchup helps in preventing colds, coughs and infections.
Basil helps reduce stomach gas, acidity and discomfort in humans. The fiber in tomatoes aids digestion and is very effective in relieving constipation. As a result, eating basil tomato ketchup with food improves the digestive process.
Regular consumption of this ketchup reduces the risk of heart disease and improves blood circulation.
