Again & Again: Coco

Movies have been with man for some time now. From the first film which was as a result of white and black videography to the 4k or full Hd resolution of today's technology. There are different movies we have watched since childhood and we hope to watch a few again because of how it was. In this publication, let's see the movie I can watch a thousand times without getting tired.

The name of the movie I can watch again and again is Coco. Coco is an animated Mexican based movie that was released in 2017. The movie is about a boy named Miguel who happened to be different from this family. He came from a family who believed and put most of their time in Shoe making business but he believes in music. This is what his family hates most and his grandmother Abuelita strictly enforced that music ban.

Even if he was shining shoes at plaza, she is not permitted to handle an instrument but he wishes to play at the plaza tonight. He was led to the family ofrenda where he was shown his ancestors but an accident happened that a picture was broken and he discovered that his great great grandfather was a musician. So, his family discovered that he has been secretly playing music, then his music disc including his guitar was broken. He ran off the family and went to the plaza to perform but had no guitar.

He broke into the Ernesto dela Cruz memorial house and stole his guitar. He was cursed and sent to the land of the dead. There, he saw his ancestors and he unraveled the truth about the ban of music in his family. He happened to meet a con man named Hèctor who was later to be his great great grandfather.

He had wanted to go home and meet his daughter but his friend, Ernesto dela Cruz poisoned him and he died without seeing his daughter, Coco. The family reconciled at last lifting the music ban. As for Ernesto dela Cruz, he died the way he died in the physical world (crushed by a bell).

The movie has taught an important lesson that family cannot be substituted for anything. Hèctor knew its importance, that's why he wanted to go back to Coco but couldn't make it. He (Hèctor) encouraged Miguel to put his family first. I can proudly endorse this move to anyone.
