Explanation

---

I enjoy doing anything new—whether it's cooking, drawing, painting, embroidery, or turning old things into something reusable through recycling—whatever it is. Even if I’m not highly skilled, I try to present my work in the best way possible. Among my many hidden talents, today I will show how I preserved the memory of a dried rose by turning it into a painting.

Before sharing the painting, I’d like to share the story behind how it was created.

^{On February 14, 2025, this past Valentine’s Day, my husband brought me two roses and some chocolates as a gift. I really love roses. Not only on Valentine’s Day, he often surprises me with roses now and then. Anyway, I kept those two roses in water for several days. Eventually, the flowers started to dry out. I preserved those dried flowers. For a while now, I had been thinking about how I could keep those flower memories alive. And to preserve the memory of the one I love, I created this painting today.}

Let’s not delay and see how I created this painting with dried flowers.

🔹Step I

First, I took a white sheet of paper. Then I picked up the two dried roses. Since I wanted to preserve a gift from my loved one, I drew a heart shape on the paper with a pencil.

🔹Step II

Next, I took red acrylic paint. Holding one of the dried roses, I applied red color to one side of it using a brush. Then I pressed the colored side of the rose onto the white paper. As you can see, that’s how I created the floral paint.

🔹Step III

Then I took the second rose and painted it red with the brush just like before. I pressed it gently on the paper to get its print. After that, I used the brush to design just beneath the flower print.

🔹Step IV

Now, using green paint on my brush, I designed around the entire heart shape. Then I took yellow paint on the brush and dotted along the heart shape to create a design.

🔹Step V

Finally, I picked up blue paint and gave the final touch with the brush. Again, I used the same heart-shaped design.

	I have completed my painting

From the picture, you can surely tell that my painting is now complete.Now, I hold the painting in my hand and capture a selfie with it.
