One Picture One Story Week #96

in Steem For Pakistan9 days ago

Hello steemians, sharing the story behind this photo with you is a pleasure. This photo was taken by me at Ikom Cross River State, at the time I was travelling from my hometown to the barracks. It was early in the morning around 7:00 am, when the commuters were about to leave for their different destination, as you can see, in the photo, the commuters were standing.

You can see that most of the commuters were tired due to the stress on the way to their destination. I arrived at the Peace Mass Transit (a company that offers travel services) headquarters in Cross River State at exactly 10:30 pm at night because our vehicle broke down two times. I was really glad we reached the headquarters. After all, my legs were all weak because I was carrying my brother on my lap.

We we got there, we were only 40km away from home and could have easily seen a car heading to our destination but we were out of cash and had to wait till the next day because the banks had been closed, even the POS (point of sale) agents had already left. My mother and I inclusive of my mother slept at the Transit headquarters till the next day, and honestly, I didn't have a good sleep. I took this photo after seeing how the commuters were eager to go to their destination most of them looked exhausted.

At the transit some vehicles which didn't belong to the peace mass transit were packed there about to take commuters to their destination, I guess that they requested that the other company assist them with three of their buses as you can see in the photo. All thanks to good that we entered a car and reached our destination which was 245 RECCE BATTALION AFI BARRACKS.

All thanks to God our journey was a success

What i see is tired faces filled the platform. Every person had a silent story. Phones glowed. They waited patiently, all tired. The train's rumble was near.

They longed for the vehicle. It would take them far away. The pre-dawn quiet would soon break. Their trips were long and hard.
