My Diary Game: It was a Stressful But a Rewarding Sunday - 21/9/2025
Hello Steemians, I hope you are doing fine. Let me share my stressful yet rewarding day with you.
To us Christians, Sunday is not only considered a holy day but also very special and eventful. Sometimes you have a lineup of invitations to one celebration, a thanksgiving service, and the other. All of this describes how my day went, attending three (3) different child blessings.

MORNING ACTIVITIES
Because of our time of service, being 8am or 9am, I do wake up early every Sunday. And I must leave the house on or before 7:30am to meet up. Yesterday was not different. After morning devotion, my clothes and shoes were ready the previous day. I prepared to go to another church at Idu Uruan, honouring an invitation to an infant baptism and thanksgiving service. The pastor preached on the topic “The Blessed Child”. A child that is shown the way of the LORD.
I enjoyed the service but left at about 11:30am.

AFTERNOON RECORD
Leaving Idu Church, I went to The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Uyo Model Parish for another infant baptism and a thanksgiving service. But before I got there, the service had been dismissed. I joined in the order of photographs; it was already 1:47 pm because our car had a flat tyre and needed the services of a vulcaniser. I congratulated the parents, celebrated with them, and left a few minutes past 2pm.
EVENING ACTIVITIES
The next and the last event I attended was in another local government area; it took us a little time to get there. I had prepared my mind to celebrate at home with my friend. Time didn't permit me because I couldn't meet them in church.
I got there at 2:51pm, and I spent a good part of my evening at the reception venue with them. It was raining, but people were there dancing and singing. Varieties of foods were shared with guests, which I partook of, and I also had soft drinks.
While I was enjoying the ceremony, my mind was on Arsenal and Manchester City football. By the time it was 4pm, we left and drove home. I missed part of the first half, as I entered the house at about 5pm. I was exhausted but still interested in the game—such a dramatic game. I thought Manchester City could win until stoppage time, when Arsenal equalised and they shared the points.
I retired to bed after the game was over, until my wife woke me up for dinner.
SUMMARY OF THE DAY
I attended 3 different occasions, running the day from morning, only returning to the house in the evening, tired and exhausted. My point of challenge was when our car had a flat tyre; we fixed it and moved.
LESSONS OF THE DAY
- Make efforts to honour people's invitations; we all need one another in life.
- You may be challenged daily, but keep going. Life doesn't stop; it goes on.
- It was a stressful day, but I am glad I fulfilled my promises to my friends, and they were happy to see me in their ceremony.

I guess it must have been Avery hectic Sunday going from church to church. It's rewarding because you get to witness the infant christening and that's just quite wonderful .
