The Diary game. A Day of Fasting, Work, and Reflection in Ramadan
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.
The countdown for the holiest month of the lunar calendar, Ramadan, has started. It’s not just the end of this month that feels disheartening, but also how quickly this month full of blessings has passed. No doubt, we put our best effort into making the most of its blessings, yet it still seems to have gone by in the blink of an eye.
With a heavy heart, I feel as though this month shouldn’t end for a whole year, but I can only accept its departure and carry its spirit into the other months. The mercy, blessings, humility, compassion, and charity that this month brings are truly unparalleled. The vibe of Ramadan is unmatchable—it’s the month that spreads happiness for all.
I woke up very early in the morning, around 4 AM, to the alarm I had set on my phone. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to get up, as I had gone to bed quite late due to my habit of playing with my phone until late at night—scrolling through social media and getting absorbed in Instagram reels.
Still, I got up quickly and didn’t stay in bed for long. I pushed myself to perform ablution and purify myself for the religious rituals that followed. After ablution, I had my pre-dawn meal, Suhoor. I waited for some time before heading to the nearby mosque for morning prayers.
As I mentioned before, this month has a different, pleasant vibe, which is also felt inside the mosque, where more people gather for prayers compared to normal days. After finishing my prayers and making supplications, I headed back home to get some more sleep, as I still felt drowsy.
However, at the back of my mind, the responsibility of processing bills—something I had to complete by the end of the financial year—kept me restless. Unable to sleep properly, I got up at 8:30 AM and headed to my office. It was still early in the morning when I arrived, but all my colleagues had already reached and had begun working on processing the bills.
Processing those bills was a tiring task, as they needed to be meticulously checked with very little margin for error. Any lapse could lead to misappropriation of funds, which might eventually result in action against the responsible person. For this reason, we processed the bills with great caution. Because of this, I was only able to process 10 to 12 bills throughout the day, which was enough considering the level of scrutiny required.
Later in the day, I went to a nearby town to buy some food items like dates, fruits, and other essentials commonly consumed during this holy month. By the time I returned home, my legs were aching from the constant movement between the work section and my cabin throughout the day.
When I reached home, it was already quite late, with just a few seconds left before breaking the fast. I had to eat whatever my mom had already prepared for me, without getting any time to prepare anything myself. After dinner, I went to see my friends in the market, but it was a brief visit as I had to attend the special Ramadan prayers, Taraweeh, at the mosque.
Later at night, I returned home and went straight to bed, intending to sleep. However, with my phone in hand, things didn’t go as planned—I ended up consuming more social media content before finally going to sleep around 11:50 PM.
It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
